We are overwhelmed with phorid flies. This repels them as well as other bugs and mosquitos in the immediate area. I love the little pails. Iv'e found so many uses for the empties after thorough cleaning. Dry and Artificial floral arrangements, pot covers for little live plants, catchall's, gift baskets and making scented candles for holidays.

I get these candles all the time, they work wonders and when they burn up, you get a neat little bucket you can use for other stuff! Keeps pesky mosquitoes at bay!

This citronella candle works pretty well for keeping the bugs at bay during relaxing outdoor evenings. The metal bucket is durable, and it provides a great, long burn time for the price.

Mainstay citronella candles are a great product to keep the bugs away on hot summer days and evenings. They work as well if not better than the big name brand citronella candles. They last longer than the brand name candles.

Item is affordable but doesn't burn recently. at best, 1 wick will burn and the other two will burn out. Constantly needing to relight the wicks, although it still seems to be effective against bugs. I don't think the wax is quality because it poops around the wicks until it stufffs them out. There are walls of wax inside the bucket that haven't even been touched by flame and will honestly be wasted once the wax where the wicks are are burnt to the bottom of the bucket. Affordable, but not efficient. 🤷

I expected it to work more effectively. You have to sit within arm's reach to get any sort of repellent relief. I'll have to buy 3-4 more candles or seek other repellent products. I'm allergic to deet so any type of spray is useless. You can smell it but I guess I expected more.

Works fairly well at keeping the mosquitoes and gnats away, as long you're within 3 to 5 feet downwind. It really needs 3 more wicks, as you're left with 3 deep holes with plenty of wax still remaining between.

Impossible to keep this thing burning. It was also nearly impossible to get it lit at all without burning hands due to the time necessary to light, given the wicks were thickly covered with wax. The metal handle also was twisted out of shape and worthless. No idea if it actually works since it's impossible to keep it lit. Shall be seeing if I can return this useless thing.

These are basically scam warning worthy. They do not burn well. So much unused candle wax, the wick breaks and gets burried. they need to use a stronger wic and they need to fix where they are placed. Do they help? meh maybe a little but I'm still getting bit on my ankles with a lit candle by my feet.

This candle, while mostly constructed well has one big flaw. The wicks on this candle refuse to stay lit if there is even a very slight breeze. So unless you have these in a very protected spot they won't work. If you can keep them lit they do a good job of repelling insects. They need to use a thicker higher quality wick.
