not to sweet or tangy just right
but unfortunately I ordered it from one store %26 my order decided to default to another store. A store that's known for delivering expired items and constantly having items out of stock. A store i'd never choose to order from. The item, which was expensive, arrived having expired already, so i'm not able to try it. What is worse is I know fot a fact the store, not a shopper pulled my items. This is the second time I tried to order it, last time it simply said out of stock, which seeing how this expired one has been sitting there, it's more likely the shopper just didn't look for it. The 3 stars is a neither good or bad rating because I wasnt able to actually try it. Anyways I give up. Hopefully ya'll have better luck.
I want to be clear in that I truly enjoy PF-Chang Sauces, I do, but I was surprised that this one fell short in taste. The amount for the price is very good, no complaints with the cost. I continue using other PF-Chang Sauces but this was the first time I tried the "Sweet %26 Sour" Sauce. I was excited to try theirs since I already enjoyed many of their products. I was left wondering if a problem occurred where it's made and packaged because it had mo sweet %26 sour flavor at all, nothing, and nothing even close. I couldn't even compare it to any other Sauces. After trying again and having two other family members try it I came to the conclusion, and they agreed, that it's a blanket sauce waiting for th3 final ingredient that makes it a unique sauce, whatever that 1 or more ingredient may be. As a base it was ok but just a base, the foundation for a sauce. Many people know the very distinct flavor of a true sweet %26 sour sauce and it's so yummy immediately, on the first taste, LOL !!! It's still in the fridge and I'm going tocturn it into a sweet chili sauce flavor so not all is lost. I hesitate to try it again in case it was a bad batch when made and still pondering if I will. I noticed too the color seemed light for this sauce type but that could be no additional dye was added and that's always good but I still expect the flavor to be there. I wish I could reach out to PF-Chang and let them know because they should. Their other Sauces are excellent, especially the chili sauce and just in case Walart can reach out to them the lot number from the bottle is: 31000-62067 and another number located under a very small scan image of; 10129978 It shows the Product as PF-Changs-Home-Menu but also shows Congra-Brands in Chicago and a 'Product of Canada' so it seems it took quite a journey getting to St Louis, Missouri, LOL !!! Not sure who exactly is making it, I'd guess Congra-Foods. In the end I expected to love it so I'm sad that I didn't. If I ever try it again it's likely because someone else happens to have it and says it's good and I'll try it or they send one to me. I've also uploaded a picture of the bottle. If you made it this far I do thank you for hanging in there with me. A little lengthy but I wanted to provide all the details. Elizabeth
I have not opened it yet, so I do not know how it tastes . I like other P.F. Chang products and their restaurant. I cannot imagine this product falls short of their standards.
Was Looking for a Sweet and Sour Sauce That Tasted like Restaurant Style...Chong's Restaurant or High End Restaurant Style Great Taste...This was way too processed...
If you like your food to be overpowered by ginger, then you will like this! I tried to mix it with other sauces to help cut the overwhelming ginger taste, and NOTHNG worked. I finally ended up tossing it because the ginger kept overpowering the food we were eating. You could not taste anything else other than ginger. Don't get me wrong, I like ginger, but when that is all you taste, it's not good! This was awful!
THIS IS HORRIBLE. I Do NOT Recommend this product to anyone. I'm baffled this is even a marketed product and no one has said enough to expose it's disgust.
DELIVERED TO WRONG HOUSE. HAPPENS ABOUT 2 TIMES A MONTH. TIRED OF BOTHERING NEIGHBOR. TAKE CARE OF THIS MATTER.
This is the worst sauce I have ever tasted
Doesn't taste like the restaurants sauce. Incredibly floral flavored. Disgusting
