Used this equate brand for years, i prefer it to name brand! Seems more effective and not so many side effects for me. I am an adult approx 130lbs. (10ml) at bedtime and it helps a lot without the severe drowsy effect when i wake up. Tooo drowsy in the mornings from adult pill forms. Used for my children and now for my grandchildren (using dosage instructions on back of package by age).
I'm not sure what it would do for somebody else but it didn't make me dizzy, drowsy at all. Didn't mess with my hydration. I had a constant itching on my arm. I can't take the pills they are too much for me. So I ordered the liquid. Although it didn't remove the itching totally it did make it manageable. I have to recommend this.
I actually got this for my cat who, though 2.5 years old only weighs 6 pounds, so needing to dose her with Benadryl makes the pills kinda hard. They'd have to be broken down so far it'd just be granules, so yeah. Anyway she was a couple weeks from her spay appt and went into heat again so we'd give her a liquid dose before bed so she wouldn't be trying to climb out of her own over-stimulated skin. But cherry flavoring isn't a kitty fan fav (bubblegum isn't either, my last cat will tell ya), so they do this weird "ew that tastes bad" thing where they spit stuff out, and it looks like foam. According to my vet, totally normal. Def looks like a weird Halloween effect though. So I can't tell you how it works for kids, or if the cherry flavor is a wonder... but it did help calm my hormone infused fur baby a bit, and caused her to foam normally at the mouth.
I use this to help my almost 14-year-old shih Tzu that has a lot of allergies. works really well for her and it's safe for her to take!
I like the liquid because I can take a lesser amount. Easy to to take with the measurement cup that comes in the box;
great price, but i honestly bought it for my cats itching and she did not tolerate the taste. why not make a flavorless. i remember hating medicine as a child. i tasted this myself and it IS awful.
For my daughters allergies ty.
It does exactly what its meant to but the taste is terrible my daughters tell me
So just bought 7 lbs bag,written on bag is "no dyes" so ok that's great, except now my Lu won't touch it! very upset as he's strictly a dry food kitty and i spent month's finding a dry food he loves. Don't know what im going to do now. So very disappointed.
I could not believe how awful this stuff tastes. And the taste stays in your mouth for an hour even after brushing teeth and tongue. It tastes like chemicals and made me instantly slightly nauseous, then gave me a stomach ache about a minute later and then by the morning I had a bad migraine. You couldn't pay me to take this stuff again. I can't imagine any child liking this stuff and I would NEVER give it to a child unless it was as a punishment for something. I would also NEVER give this to a pet as they would probably hate me afterwards.
