excellent product for the price
does its job pretty well, its made of 5mm (0.2 in.) diameter steel rod, painted or powder coated yellow. will hold a maximum handle diameter of 31 mm (1.2 in.) and captures about 90 mm (3.5 in.) of the pole handle length. the free end that you can embed in soil is about 190 mm (7.5 in.) long.

Description says for salt water which lead me to believe it would fit surf rods. Way way to small in diameter to fit large rods such as most salt water rods. Quality is great and even better value for the money but misleading in the description and only reason I gave it a 1 star review.
