We bought it to make some pickles, and it worked. The pickles came ok. Sure, I'd recommend it to anyone that needs this product. It's the generic version and it does its job!

Other reviews said it was a texture more like salt. I used it on an irritated taste bud, as my 100 year old gramma said, and it worked like a charm!

I don't use this for canning, it's a folk remedy for canker sores. It takes away the pain for a variable length of time.

It's a good and clean product, and I am using it to treat my tooth issues. Overall, it is working well with significant results.

So glad I found Alum at Walmart and at this price ! I'm getting set to start pickling. Thanks Walmart for making it easy to find everything I need in once place.

Way too wide and too long . No support at all

I used this alum powder to treat a painful canker sore inside my lip. Let me tell you—it burns when you apply it, so definitely brace yourself! But despite the initial sting, it worked impressively fast. Within 24 hours, the pain had completely subsided, and the sore began healing noticeably. I only needed a tiny amount, and it didn't take long to see results. It's not the most comfortable remedy in the moment, but if you're looking for something that works quickly and effectively, this did the trick for me. Just be prepared for a little discomfort upfront!

While it certainly fulfills its intended purpose, I've noticed that its effectiveness pales in comparison to McCormick's brand. The flavor it imparts is decent, but lacks the robust profile and depth I typically enjoy from McCormick's offerings. Overall, while this product has its merits, it doesn't quite measure up to the quality and impact I've come to expect from McCormick.
