(4 pack) Great Value Corned Beef, 12 oz Can

I dont understand buying something for double the price when the exact item (generic) is available for almost half the price of a name brand. I have used every brand available shopping at Walmart. Great Value Corned Beef is exactly the same with one major difference...the price.

big fan of corned beef for sandwiches. fast 4 breakast, lunch, dinner. bought more expensive popular brand for years. great value matches n even rivals that brand. minimal grease, fat and no grizzle in the mix. not disappointed w/ this product. recommend it to corn beef lovers everywhere.

OK, it's just cheap Corned beef, but the ingredients are very good and it tastes better than big brand names. I was shocked! I sliced it fairly thin and cooked it on a flat pan. Grilled nicely and tasted BETTER than name brands. Magnificent staple to keep on hand for blackouts if you have a camping stove you can use on your porch.

I remember when you could get corned beef in a can for 50 cents, now it's close to 6 dollars a can, so when I saw these for 3 dollars and 14 cents I had to purchase it. I refuse to pay the crazy high price for this as it's tasty but not gold so I thought I would never have this again. I am glad Walmart/Great Value made it possible to have this once again and as long as the price is reasonable I would definitely be purchasing this again. These are great for those days you don't feel like cooking and need a quick meal there is nothing quite like corned beef and rice with the right recipe.

In the high prices we all experience with beef seems eternal.This 73 percent 1 pound of beef is the best economical deal Walmart sells at the current time. The limited amount of fat makes it ideal for enhancing all your favorite dishes or saluting itself on the grill this summer!!!

The flavor and texture are quite good. I wish it contained less nitrates, but I understand the reason it's there. I add this corned beef to various recipes. I sometimes add grilled onions, garlic, cumin nd paprika and fashion a taco🌮 😋 One Ⓜ️ajor complaint; the key doesn't open the can. After minutes of struggling, I managed to cut the can open ( the key was useless and neither my manual or electric can opener could open this can.) Toss the key and employ the pull-tab top design.

I usually order another brand of canned corned beef but I figured I would try the Walmart brand to save a little money. Unfortunately, this was not very good. It has a taste that is slightly off and the texture is too clumpy. I will never purchase this again and I do not recommend it to anyone.

The flavor was edible at best. Havent had canned corned beef in many years because the stores stopped selling it, but i remember what it used to be like. I didn't expect much from it but had hoped. Its bad. Texture is kinda mushy with bottom grade meat parts. I even crunched a few pieces that seemed like sand.

I tried this to find a less expensive way to get meat into my diet, but I will never order it again. This was repellant. It smelled bad, and it tasted much worse than it smelled. I could not eat this. It looked and smelled like dog food. I've never eaten dog food, but that could have been the taste as well. On top of the fact that it was a bad smell and a bad taste, the can was difficult to open. You have to use a key to open it, but there is a paper label glued to the can that makes the key difficult to wind. I ended up cutting my hand, trying to pull the wire through the can, just to pry it out. Then the cat woudln't even try it, and she loves food.

Not even sure how to describe this item. Purchased a few cans to have on hand for emergencies and decided to open one to test it out with some cabbage I cooked up. First off, using the key open, didn't even make it a 1/4 of the way around the can before the metal broke off. Fortunately, I was more successful with using a can opener. The product inside was clearly more fat than meat? Not even sure if it was meat as it practically melted in the pan, there was absolutely no structure to this stuff. Ironically, for as long as I cooked it, it would not brown or crisp up. It just continued to dissolve into a mush. I went ahead and added to my cooked cabbage to try it. Not much of a texture and quite salty. I just didn't see myself reaching for this item even in an emergency (unless it was the very last thing in the pantry and there was no other food sources available). Ultimately, I decided to return the remaining cans and use the funds for something I would actually eat.
