(4 pack) Great Value Corned Beef, 12 oz Can

I dont understand buying something for double the price when the exact item (generic) is available for almost half the price of a name brand. I have used every brand available shopping at Walmart. Great Value Corned Beef is exactly the same with one major difference...the price.

When factor in this is precooked beef, then it's about half the cheapo ground beef price. I use cumin to get rid of the 'canned corned beef' flavor. Mix with a little raw egg and cook in a microwave egg cooker to form into a burger and then a quick char on the grill.

I buy this mostly during Hurricane season, but, also keep some for corned beef %26 cabbage, %26 corned beef sandwiches, %26 to cook up with an egg on top and cheese for breakfast. Has a great taste, texture. My only BEEF about it would be the price....but, of course everything is high these days

OK, it's just cheap Corned beef, but the ingredients are very good and it tastes better than big brand names. I was shocked! I sliced it fairly thin and cooked it on a flat pan. Grilled nicely and tasted BETTER than name brands. Magnificent staple to keep on hand for blackouts if you have a camping stove you can use on your porch.

I received this Great Value corned beef 4 tins BUT i was sad because I ordered and paid SPAM 1 pack ( 4 pieces ) and i received only 2 tin SPAM. I am just wondering where the other two SPAM went. Please check my order again and sent it the remaining 2 tin SPAM. Thank you.

In the high prices we all experience with beef seems eternal.This 73 percent 1 pound of beef is the best economical deal Walmart sells at the current time. The limited amount of fat makes it ideal for enhancing all your favorite dishes or saluting itself on the grill this summer!!!

I like to use this in place of tuna in my casseroles from time to time. My kids are not big fans of tuna, but do like this. The taste is good in my casseroles, but it does have a waxy texture to it and I do scrape the fat off of it. But it is a decent meat to add to recipes when you want to add some protein to whatever you are preparing.

Love and prefer most great value brand products that i have tried. Except this one!!!! I like to open a can of corned beef, slice and have plain on bread. The flavor of this is not for me. Seemed like had a metalic taste. Maybe it would be ok if cooking hash? But not for me!

I tried this to find a less expensive way to get meat into my diet, but I will never order it again. This was repellant. It smelled bad, and it tasted much worse than it smelled. I could not eat this. It looked and smelled like dog food. I've never eaten dog food, but that could have been the taste as well. On top of the fact that it was a bad smell and a bad taste, the can was difficult to open. You have to use a key to open it, but there is a paper label glued to the can that makes the key difficult to wind. I ended up cutting my hand, trying to pull the wire through the can, just to pry it out. Then the cat woudln't even try it, and she loves food.
