For school project perfect
The Perfect Dad & Son project! 4M Tin Can Robot Science Kit, 1 Each! This 4m Tin Can Robot Kit is perfect for a Dad & Son project to spend some valuable time together. The project itself is not overly complicated but will probably overwhelm you when you first open the package; it sure did us at first. Upon looking a little closer the project is truly tons easier to put together and I would say depending upon your skill level etc. it can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 45 minutes to complete. I love the concept of this project as it really excited my grandson to no end and his dad was just happy to do something with his son. The tin can is not included in the kit, but we just used a diet coke pop can and that worked just fine; any soda can will do. The instructions on the kit are super easy and very well done; very easy to follow and do. It took us about 15-minutes to do and the end result is one very happy little man; he just loves it! I love everything about this kit; it's literally the first time we've ever done anything like it and its been a great experience. My grandson loves his new toy and it has opened up his mind a bit to making things from scratch, which is something we love. I would highly recommend keeping this project away from 3-year old's and down like the box says as it does have a lot of small parts. Overall: We loved the project and it was a ton of fun for my grandson, his dad and me the grandpa lol! I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves to put stuff together and wants to spend a good quality time with his son or daughter. We enjoyed it tons and my grandson just loves his new toy that his dad made for him; which is how he sees it. Highly Recommended!
My 15 year old & 11 year old boys had a ball building this together. However once completed they discovered it only went backwards:) I would recommend it for children much older than 8 like the box says, but they enjoyed building it & bonded while making it. Also highly recommend a tiny mag etic Phillips screwdriver since there are multiple tiny screws to place.
My grandson absolutely loved this, he has ADHD and it seemed to help him focus, you need good hand and eye coordination and patience and he really seemed to be doing good. He needed a little help it can be a little confusing, but I great learning toy to put together. But he had a wonderful time doing it together. He also used sharpies to design his can, which made it his very own. Great time with the kids!!!
This tin can robot kit is a really awsome Christmas gift for a special nephew. It comes with all the parts to build a robot using a tin can. You can use the building of this robot to explain how tin cans pile up in the landfills and about the importance of recycling. The kids can be educated about recycling while having fun....it is a win win. I believe my nephew is really going to enjoy getting and building this robot. I would like to build this robot myself!
This kit was a lot of fun to put together. The directions could be a bit confusing, but it was easy to look at the pictures and figure it out. We were only able to get the robot to go backwards, but it was fun nonetheless. I would recommend this to others.
This was a fun project with my nephew. The directions are easy to read and easy to follow. Definitely require an adult to help put together, but was happy with the results. And my nephew loved it! He even took it to school to show his friends what we made!
the instructions were not made for children to understand. the instructions should be step by step with visuals for each step. had to take it apart many times to get it to work.
Order through Walmart was great and convenient...however just found this product on sale at Radio Shack for $9.99!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cost of this item here including shipping and handling was more than twice that! Not a good value!
If I could give a 0, I would. Really flimsy, the screws didn't have prethreaded holes so it was impossible to screw anything in completely. I had to put it together instead of my kid and when all was "together," it didnt even move. Waste of money.
