i learned to make my own vanilla, using soft vanilla beans. cut them open and scrape the vanilla out of tĥe beans. add a pint or so of bourbon. put all in an airtight jar and set.in a cool dry place. every few days give the jar a good shake and in about 6 weeks, you'll have yoùr own homè made vanilla for baking with. saves alot, versus buying the tiny vanilla bottles. make sure you let it cure for the six weeks before using.

I made vanilla extract at home many years ago, and I still have quite a bit left from that batch. But I wanted to top off the jar and add more beans to it for a replenished batch. These beans smell delicious, and they are very pliable, which is a good sign. Would definitely purchase again!

These are excellent quality. I am using to make vanilla extract. Opening the package they smelled heavenly. They are soft and plump. Highly recommend and I will be buying them again.

You get what you pay for. These were small beans compared to others I have purchased in the past and that is why they were cheaper. I purchased due to the Grade A rating but I find it hard to believe they were grade A. They were packaged well and sealed. They were moist on the outside but after cutting there wasn't much of an inside to create the extract I was making with them. I found a couple of 4" pods in with the rest. Most were 5 1/2" like stated in the ad. Next time I will spend $5 or even $10 more for longer and thicker pods. The little bit of extract I can make with these beans will not be worth the money spent. I could have purchased an 8 oz bottle of good extract for the same price and I would not have had to go through the work and time of waiting for these. Lesson learned.

This is my third time making vanilla extract and it usually works very well. I ramped up my quantity with this purchase and these beans were not good. They didn't even smell good. Sad to waste 50 beans but I just won't ruin the vodka.

Was very gross I have had them before but these don't taste good at all will NEVER BUY AGAIN!!!!
