This is my absolute favority pie filling in the entire world. I always buy the 6 pack of them at Walmart. My sister's favorite was the Lucky Leaf Lite Apple Pie Filling. But, for several months I've been unable to find the apple pie filling at either Walmart or walmart.com. I'm not sure if they stopped making it or if they just never order enough and are always out. The Lucky Leaf Lite Cherry pie filling has been in dozens of my recipes. Cherry Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Cherry Cheesecake, Cherry Ice Cream (yes, I even make Ice Cream with it.) Absolutely any recipe that uses cherries, can benefit from this. One thing I nearly always do, is to put a couple of Lemon squirts in the pie filling, before baking with it. When I was out of Lemons one day, I substituted a big squeeze of Lime Juice. I wasn't sure how that would work, but it was great! It doesn't make your baked goods taste like lemon or lime. It just makes it taste a little more like homemade. I have to cook Gluten Free and that's not always easy, so I try to use the best ingredients I can find and this is the very best. For over 20 years, I had a beautiful 15 foot cherry tree in the back yard. I was really upset that in May 2024, a huge windstorm swept through and split my Bradford Pear tree in half and my treasured Cherry Tree met the same fate. After that, I wasn't happy with canned cherries or anything that was made from cherries. The store bought sugar free cherry pies all tasted like gummy candy. I was used to my delicious cherries, from my tree. It wasn't until I tried the Lucky Leaf brand, that I felt I could actually make my baked goods with a quality ingredient. I hope they never stop making this-or I'll have to plant another cherry tree....lol I recommend this pie filling. I don't give many 5 star reviews and I've penned thousands of reviews on various sites. This is one product that earns it's 5 star rating. It has a sharp cherry taste, just the right amount of artificial sweeteners and not too much in the way of thickeners. There are actually loads of real cherries in this. Thank you for reading my review.
I watch my calorie intake. I like this pie filling and buy it often. Note: I didn't realize that Walmart sold Lucky Leaf Lite Cherry Fruit Filling until 2024 but I've been buying it from my local grocery store since 2020. I only bought it in the grocery store when it was on sale for under $4.50 which wasn't often - and still isn't often. I save around 50% on each can by having a dozen cans at a time shipped via Walmart.
I paid!!!! $12.99 for 4 cans.... All I received was one dented can!!!
I'm Diabetic so I can't eat sugar. These allow me to have cherry pie I eat again!
I'm trying to eliminate as much sugar as possible from my diet. Lucky Leaf Lite Cherry filing and topping makes the goal so much easier! There is no funny aftertaste and I'm able to have a dessert that I enjoy! I'm hooked!
One of 6 cans arrived dented. One of six cans arrived the wrong filling: peach instead of low sugar cherry.
Sometimes, less and less these days, Walmart has in its arsenal an item such as this one that delivers satisfaction. We enjoyed in several ways and happy with it. 4.3 Stars!
I like the less sugar concept and the flavor is great. I don't like that it is not carried in the store apparently and needs to e delivered to me. I like the regular Lucky Leaf filling because it does not have high fructose corn syrup in it. Not sure about this one so I combine the two.
I ordered online in bulk and all 6 cans were bent or crushed in; I was taught not to purchase bent and n cans of food. I could understand 1 but all 6. Is this what to expect by not going in to the store. Disappointed!
of this order, it aould be impossible to NOT SEE jow badly dented three of these cans were. why do online orders get these do often?
