Worth the money.
This has good deep flavor that is not salty.

To add a increased beefy flavor to stews, soups.
This was an America's Test Kitchen recommendation years ago to enhance the flavor to soups, stews, gravies, etc. Only use a small amount, maybe 1" or less squeeze, depending on size of pot. There is no anchovy taste. Just a heartier flavor. I keep it in my refrigerator when I get it home and use it for years. I always check expiration date on EVERYTHING I buy.

Good consisantency
I have been buying the Anchovy Paste now for a year and I add it to different foods when I am cooking, sauces, stir fry, anything that I think needs a touch of flavor, also the Tomato Paste as well, easy quick and you add what you need, done.

This paste has an odd taste. The fish flavor is hidden. I hate to say this but...that's what my tastebuds say.

Doesn't store well
Purchased this item on line, and when we opened it (we had one open, purchased from a local market) the taste was off even though it was over a year from the expiry date. Since we bought it in advance of needing more, by the time we used it we were passed the return date. Don't recommend you buy such items on line and at least taste them ASAP so you have time to return.
