Most people seem to buy these to add Umami flavor to their foods. Umm, not me. I bought these *because* I like salty things, like salt, salt and sea salt and anchovies and soy sauce and salt. So, yeah, I ate these straight from the tube. Yum! Anchovy facts: they aren't very salty, It's what gets done with them that makes them salty. In their processing they are put into salt and aged for six months to a year. This a how they get really salty, this is why they are expensive. Anything aged for months to years increases their price because of the time involved. Nuff Sayd

It lacks the bold flavor of other brands but still a good value and a great product if you don't like the overpowering taste that anchovies bring to your menu.

Exactly as advertised. This is anchovie paste. If you've eaten anchovies before than you know exactly what to expect, taste wise. Texture wise its a thick concentrated paste so you're paying mostly for convenience.

This is very convenient for me as ai needed anchovies to add to a recipe, but ai didn't want to buy actual anchovies. This paste saved the day!! Love the quality without the mess. Highly recommend

Saw so many good reviews on this anchovies paste, so I decided to give it a try to boost the flavour in seafood marina paste. Hope it can replace anchovies in can food.

I always keep this handy. Anchovy paste adds a nice umami without making things taste fishy. What was once known to me as an ingredient only found in dressing, I add this to sauces all the time.

This is the most delicious product. It is to be used as an add in to your pasta sauce. Pizza crust before you start adding toppings, and as an add in for dips and spreads from your appetizers. Your guests will love it and they have no idea what the incredible flavor is.

I buy this Reese Anchovy Paste often. I just squeeze some amount of the paste onto a good bread, and then I put the bread with the paste into where? You guessed it correctly, into my mouth! It especially helps if I ate something not really tasty, it creates a good taste in my mouth! But of course, taste is something very personal. So whether you will like the taste of this paste, I do not know.

This is great to have on hand for ethnic recipes or any other culinary creations that require a little kick of fish! I've used it in Thai recipes as well as chowder and it has worked well. It also makes a good substitute for fish sauce if you don't have that and need a quick solution. It lasts a while, too!

I ordered these to have on hand for homemade salad dressing, they go out of date in 4 months. The ones I purchased in stores 2 years ago, that were discontinued, have a better date. Why? Now I have to throw these away if I don't use them before 1/2026 :(
