Since I am placing this product in my storage room I can't speak to its taste or quality. I can however appreciate the quality of the products ability to last until I do need it.

This is SO handy, especially when you are makinga stew or casserole and are missing the canned or frozen ones. They're tasty and so good in a stew. Making the stew quickly is very important at times, and this is a big assist!

Due to health, I can't shop often, so these dried foods are a godsend. I have been pleasantly surprised by the taste & quality of Augason Farms. The peas are the best yet! They taste just as good as frozen, and I will keep ordering them. Their potato products, onions, eggs and soup mix are all great, too. I highly recommend them to anyone needing easy groceries & storage.

Great staple to have on hand as emergency food. Very good value! I would not say the concept of dehydrated food appeals to me for *most* normal meals, but can be good in broth, soup, and casseroles. You just have to make sure you boil or bake it according to instructions, because it can be very chewy/tough if not cooked long enough.

You really have to simmer these peas to make them ready to eat... like split peas, they dry hard as pebbles. But the time is worth it, and they're good enough to use every day.

This box came badly damaged and the can of peas inside is severely crushed. I hope we can salvage some of them.

They taste terrible and when you add water to them, the still stay hard.I've tried several methods to soften them up , such as hot water , soaking them overnight microwave , nothing makes them soft. disappointing.
