Baker's Kosher Imitation Vanilla Flavor, 8.0 fl oz Bottle

For a budget friendly imitation vanilla this is my go to! A very large sized bottle so it lasts a good while and the taste is wonderful. It’s very similar (obviously not the exact same) but a very close match for a cheap price! It goes so good in cakes, cookies, just about any type of dessert. It always comes through and adds that perfect vanilla taste you need!

I much prefer brand-name pure vanilla extract but since I started making smoothies every day, I was paying a ransom to make my fruit/veggie smoothies taste great. I went on a hunt for a decent imitation vanilla and found this one. It does what it is supposed to in my smoothies! My only complaint is that I cannot find whether this is the petroleum‑based or wood‑based variety. I would much prefer wood, but since the information isn’t available anywhere, I’m docking a star.

This imitation vanilla does all I need for my cooking. I am retired and widowed along with being on a fixed income. This product works well for me. I use it in baking and my oatmeal. It’s affordable and allows this retiree to have vanilla flavoring. I could never afford real vanilla at this stage in life. Glad Walmart has it.

With the holidays happening, and the stores not having this product on the shelves, I thought I would have to do without this product. I ordered the item thinking Walmart would tell me this item was out of stock. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a notification that it was ready for pickup! Thanks!

I usually buy the generic Mexican vanilla but it was sold out and this was substituted. The flavor is good, I use it in my morning oatmeal and snacks for dipping fruit, it blends in easily.

to me there's absolutely no reason to buy actual vanilla extract when you can use imitation vanilla extract instead this stuff tastes great it's low cost and it works fantastic.

I really enjoyed using the bakers imitation vanilla flavor. I used it for a couple of baked goods that I had to bake and it didn't disappoint. I got a lot of compliments on my dessert and I was very happy. I will continue to use this for my baked goods.

Years ago I was told by a doctor that I was allergic to vanilla. I started using imitation vanilla and have never gone back. True, it is not as good as using real vanilla but, for a person like me who loves and taught cooking in schools for 37 years, imitation vanilla is just as good as the real stuff.

I use a lot of this stuff. 1/3 cup of it for a batch of yogurt using one gallon of milk, for example. I put a dabble in coffee, cereal, and cola. Perhaps not as good tasting as real vanilla extract, but more economical. Easier to control amount added than real extract. For some things, I add almond flavoring also. Vanilla-almond flavor, oh yeah! You simply must try vanilla-almond flavoring on sweetened (I use artificial sweetener) pomegranite--it is to die for!

The product is fine for most baking applications but my issue is with WalMart price gouging. This item is made in Maryland by McCormick and yet the price has risen 75% from one purchase to my most recent purchase. It's not affected by tariffs yet the rise in price of this magnitude does not make sense! Shop around and DO NOT ASSUME that WalMart is offering the best deal in grocery items. Other retailers are getting more of my grocery budget now.
