I'm really impressed with this power cage/squat rack. I had a pull up/dip station and wanted a little more versatility and after doing some research decided to buy the BalanceFrom PC-1. It fits my needs and more. Its plenty rigid enough for my lifting needs and it will allow me to do some exercises using some resistance bands too. I'm not trying to break any lifting records I'm just trying to get a little healthier and do some regular weightlifting. I noticed during my research that there were some complaints about the packaging and some damaged parts. From what I read I noticed that a lot of the issues regarding the bent parts where the uprights that had sort of a 'U' shaped bracket that could be damaged during shipping. Well. it seems they fixed that problem by getting rid of the 'U' brackets and instead using some 'T' brackets that help bolt the uprights to the cross pieces. So now you just get square tubing uprights with no welded 'U' brackets. As far as packaging goes, I was really impressed; my rack came in a cardboard box that was lined all sides including the top and bottom with thin plywood which made everything really sturdy and well protected. The only complaint I have is that they do not include any washers which from what I have read online will really make the whole rack a lot more rigid. I bought my own washers for few dollars sot that wasn't a big deal. You could definitely put the rack together without any washers and still be fine, but I like the idea of adding a little extra rigidity for a few dollars. I can also speak to their customer service. My rack didn't come with any assembly instructions, so I reached out to BalanceFrom's customer service and within 24 hours they sent me a pdf of the assembly instructions. I've had the rack for a few days and I am really happy I made the purchase I feel like I have so many new opportunities to try different exercises that I was not able to before. I intend to purchase the lat pull down accessory in a few months once its back in stock.
Great rack! Came with everything as advertised. Bought the lat bar pull down and weight plate holders too. Easy to put together and sturdy. Only issue was the weight plate holders are too small to fit around tubing as others have mentioned. Otherwise a great buy
THE DIP BARS ARE EXCELLENT AND LIKE OTHER REVIEWERS STATE , YOU SHOULD GET SOME WASHERS TO SPREAD THE FOOTPRINT OF THE PRESSURE OF THE HARDWARE SO THE TUBING DOESN'T COLLAPSE WHEN YOU ASSEMBLE IT. FOR THE MONEY YOU CANT BEAT IT BUT, YOU NEED SAFETY BARS AND EVERYTHING I'VE FOUND FOR SALE, THAT DOESN'T COST AS MUCH AS THE RACK ITSELF, IS FOR 2"X2" TUBING AND NOT 3"X3". I ALSO PURCHASED SOME PLATE HOLDERS THAT ARE ADVERTISED FOR THE RACK. SURPRISE, THEY'RE FOR A 2X2 RACK HAHAHA . I GOT A REFUND FOR THEM, THOUGH.
I bought this to replace my sorry excuse of a power tower. This is January 2026. It also cost less than my old power tower. This cost me $100. You read that right. That is the deal of the century. When I do my pull ups on this, it doesn't move, it doesn't make noise, it is solid and sturdy. That doesn't mean I can't tip it over with a very explosive pull up, so for that you'd need to weight it or bolt it down. Despite the image of the product on the product page, it does NOT come with safety bars. The manual shows the product assembly with no safety bars and contents of the package have NO safety bars. You can buy the spotter arms for additional cost, which is fair, for $100 I can forgive that. But it would be nice to buy the safety bars over the spotter arms since it's supported across two posts instead of only one. But there's no option, only spotter bars. Assembly came with t-brackets, and loosely assembled everything together, by myself, then tightened with supplied wrenches. Took an hour or two, it helps to be 6' tall. No missing parts. Only one lock nut was missing the plastic locking material inside the nut, but they provided an additional 2 bolts and nuts for back up. Packaged well enough. FedEx did me right and no damage from delivery. I did help the driver bring it up the stairs. Yes this thing weighs 150lbs so hopefully you have a dolly or else you're gonna have to transport it around piece by piece. I would buy this again hands down, for $100. If they have safety bars for sale I'll make it five stars. This is a steal!
I'm frustrated because the two safety bars that are pictured in the main picture of the power cage weren't in the package I received. This power cage is for my kids, therefore, the cage isn't useful without the safety bars. I contacted Walmart via chat, and the only solution was to return for a refund reorder. That is insane. I spent a lot of time putting it together. To return it, I would have to take it apart, package it, take it to Walmart, reorder, and hope all parts are included next time. The simple solution that is customer friendly is to simply send me the safety bars... or give me a credit so I can go buy some aftermarket ones.
The equipment is very dirty and not as smooth as I had hoped. The packaging was extremely unacceptable as far as the box and each piece was open.. I am not satisfied. This will probably be my last time shopping with Walmart online and in store. Im tired of products not being produced with pride when it comes to quality. Also, I specifically told them to deliver to my door and they didnt.
Got it on sale but returning do to the poor packaging and damaged beams. 3 out of 4 posts arrived very badly bent as well as the pull up bar. The weight plate holders I also ordered don't fit the posts, they're about 2-3mm to narrow to fit around them.
I didn't get the cage. Delivery photo showed only a small package being delivered, which was the arm accessory that was supposed to come with the cage, but not the cage itself. I was forced to call Walmart, who told me to print a label and have the arm picked up. After that, I would be refunded. Almost a month later, I haven't been refunded, my return information disappeared from my account, and I have been forced to call Walmart again. I was given a reference number, but no refund.
I bought the power cage which is great, no issues there, but i went to buy the plate holders on the same page i bought the power cage and the plate holders don't fit, it is too small and its not even close. i am going to have to find a way to bend the tabs so it can fit on the cage. How are they going to sell a product for another product but it doesn't work?
I received an entirely different power cage than listed in the photos and description. The attachments purchased (spotter arms) also don't fit this obscure "Power Rack 5050" that I received. Packaging was encased in plastic wrap, and still was spreading loose bolts and nuts all over the driveway if you even attempted to look at it. The instructions were torn into 3 pieces inside the box.
