BalanceFrom Rubber Hex Dumbbells, 30 lbs Pair, Black

They have a pretty strong smell when you unpackage them. I wiped them down to get the packing oil off them and then let them air out for a few days. All in all, they work as they should, the grip is comfortable and the rubber protects everything (including myself) from impact. I've had them for a month now and the smell is either gone, or I'm used to it. I'd buy them again, well worth it.

These dumbbells were affordable and worked perfect for my needs. I like that the grips were not too big for my smaller hands. Some other dumbbells have a wider diameter bar that is less comfortable for me to workout with. They did have the rubber smell that is to be expected with dumbbells like this, but aired out soon enough.

I am working up to these weights! LOL However , they are very sturdy and easy to use and store. I look forward to graduating up to enough strength to get used to them. My Daughter in Law, used them every day when visiting from Wisconsin - so they have been used by someone in the family who works out every day. And she is 65

Best deal in dumbbell's comes from Walmart. The price was way better than anything l have seen for imported dumbbell’s like these in this weight category. May not be the best quality since they do emitted a bit of an odor from the rubber. But they do the job and should last a long time. Just leave them in the sun for a bit and most of the odor will disappear.

The dumbbells and the A stand both, out of the box had a strong chemical odor that spread in the home and was very prominent for a few days. This is probably from the manufacturing process itself. It is still dissipating after about a week after I assembled the unit. Next, the A stand has a very prominent wobble that needed me to pad under one side of the stand in order to stabilize it. Other than these two issues, this is a good buy for quality and value for money.

They look great . Yet the chemical smell is so intense it makes your eyes burn . It's been several days airing them out and it's still extremely strong …

I found a piece of metal wire that was lodged into one of the dumbbells. I only discovered this after I picked it up and the metal stabbed through the palm of my hand.

I purchased this set with the 550lb large set of dumbbells. These are pretty decent for the price. The weights are not to a calibrated weight so if you was looking for dumbbells with the exact weight less /- 1lb these are not the DBs for you. When I received mine I ended up receiving 3 individual 35lb dbs and 1 40 lb db. I had to call in a return because unlike these review the items were not individual. So put in the return, All items were individually packed, so I returned the extra 35 lb dumbbell after talking with the customer service rep. I sent the item back and I was told I would receive a replacement with a couple days. Well a couple days passed I didn't receive anything. Call Monday the next week, I was given the run around and was told he would look into it. No change again, I think a one point I chatted with someone through their help chats system, not sure how i might have done that. By this time is was the holidays so I wait until that was over called again, was told they were going to elevate the ticket. Its been nearly 4 full weeks since my original return was processed by this time. So I go over everything again, and I see the working on the return "Pair". Got to thinking how am i supposed to return a pair when that is what I was missing. So I decided to, with my own money $40, send the 40lb db back to the same place the first dumbbell. Well there it goes I get an email saying the return has now been received. So now its been a week since they have received both dumbbells and 35lb dumbbell and a 40 lb dumbbell and its new item has not shipped yet. By this time and the money I spend to ship the 40 lb dumbbell I could have just ordered 40lb dumbbell set and been dome with it. I don't know yet, I haven't received my return yet.

The package arrive and one piece of the stand arrived broken. The instructions that came with the package said there was a 60 day warranty and to not return the item to the store, but to email their support. We emailed their support but they said we had to go through Walmart. I don't want to take hundreds of pounds of weights to the store. I just want them to send us a replacement part per the warranty and instructions that came with the package.

They only weigh 26 lbs. I already have a set of 25 lb dumbbells so these are useless for me. I needed to increase the weight 5 lbs not 1 lb from my 25 lb dumbells. I even weighed both the 25 and new 30 lb dumbells to make sure that the problem was not my scale and the 30 lb are about 1 lb more than the 25 that I already have. They are too large for the amount of weight. The same size as a typical 40-50 lb dumbbell.
