Excellent quality orzo pasta. It cooks evenly, has a great texture, and works perfectly in soups, salads, and side dishes. The small rice-shaped pasta absorbs flavors well without becoming mushy. I also appreciate that it's non-GMO and from a trusted brand like Barilla. Great pantry staple and consistently delivers good results. Highly recommended!
So! I overcooked this pasta. Not once. Not twice. But three times! I finally got it right on the fourth try. It was so Delish with some mushroom soup an baked catfish and French style green beans. Also, I think I must have been thirsty, because I had the biggest, tall glass of iced water with my meal. It was sooooooo, so so so so so good to not just me. But everyone! I really got it right.
Good pasta. Used it in my Italian Wedding Soup. Nice texture and flavor. I will certainly buy again.
We love orzo. We used to use egg noodles for our chicken soup, but since we discovered orzo that's the pasta we use now
Barilla is a good brand of pasta. I think it works well with many dishes. I sometimes mix mine with rice and it is great.
we buy these little noodles that's what we call them at home because the children like them that doesn't make a mess easy to eat once again we buy these
I love all the Barilla products. I especially like orzo when making soup. Be sure to cook it separately, drain and cool before putting into soup so it does swell to a gigantic size.
Love Orzo Pasta Salad that I make with tthisthisthis..
I like this pasta and you can make so many dishes with it. The price is decent wish the box was a little bigger, I have ordered this several times and one time there were bugs in it so I had to throw it away. I expect better from this brand. Now every time I buy it I always check it closely before using.
If I could give this a half a star I would! I don't know who in their right mind thought it was a good idea to ship food in bags rather than a box, but here is my food, unusable! A whole serving of noodles dumped in the bottom of the bag! Can't use them now since the bag isn't food grade/safe, and I don't know what's in it that I may not want in my food. I normally buy my Orzo in person, I purchased these for shipment because I couldn't get to the store (along with the Luna because it isn't sold in my store) and now I will have to delay making my soup because I still will have to return this to the store and buy (unbroken boxes) in person. Very frustrating and inconvenient for the customer, and not cost effective for the company when (knowing that delivery companies are not gentle) they ship noodles in something squishable and the customer has to return them! Good thing the Luna bars are tough and unaffected or they'd get a bad review for the cruddy choice of shipping packaging too.
