I add cooked and drained ground meat (pork or beef with a little onion cooked in) and a can of stewed tomatoes (del Monte Italian recipe) for an excellent chili for Frito pie! If you want more beans, add em! Pour it over Fritos, top it with a good sharp shredded cheddar and your done! It's a great chili base to tweak "your way"!
very good and tasty, I add 1lb ground beef, tomato paste and a little more water than the package called for.
I added elbow noodles, chopped tomatoes. It is great. I love home-made soups and this tasted just like made from scratch. Didn't have to spend all that time cooking beans which was included.
My brother-n-law made this chili when I last visited and it was delicious. I bought 6 packages at one time to make sure I had it on hand. It's very good.
Simply the best soup mix I have ever had...I'm 78! AND..... Walmart has the best, price...look around!!!
I throw in 1 1/2 pounds of hamburger, fried and drained. 1 container of spaghetti sauce or small can of tomato paste. and one small can of mild chopped chili peppers. Don't forget the cornbread. This makes the best supper for several people or good as a leftover as well. Everyone who tried it has raved about it.
This is the best quick soup. I will be purchasing this on a regular basis.
I love this soup and purchasing it through Walmart mail order saved quite allot.
OK. Yes, this is pretty good, but I will add a can of drained rinsed kidney beans next time. I like a little more body to my chili. While the flavor was good, the texture was a little on the mushy side, IMO.
This is the worst chili I have EVER eaten, disgusting. So much minced onions in the mix it squashed any other flavor it could of had. Plus what it the white rice like ingredient? Unnecessary in chili. I even put hamburger in it to try to help it.. nope didn't help. Also a sweet underlying taste I can't figure out along with the taste of onion. How anyone could possibly like this is beyond me, or could call it chili sadly hasn't had good chili.
