Bestway Flowclear 800 Gallon Sand Filter Pump

I purchased this Bestway Flowclear 800 sand filter to replace a Bestway Flowclear 2500 sand filter that had a leaky strainer cover (no replacements part available). Once connected, I realized that my other filter was too strong for my pool (Bestway 13x42 steel frame) as this new one is quieter and creates a gentler current when operating making it possible to run the filter for longer periods of time keeping my pool clear and clean.

So much better than the standard filter pump that came with my pool. It actually kept the water a lot cleaner this year with less hassle. I got the cotton balls to use instead of sand. Was simple enough to clean them a few times during the summer and re-use. Very happy with this filter.

Works so much better than standard filter type pumps. Purchased to use on 10 ft Intex pool and the water is crystal clear.

I bought this pump 2 years ago for pool which has 3800 l capacity. I read that it's hight performance pump for this capacity. But I was dead wrong. Never look for a pump based on performance: liters filtered per hour. This does not reflect actual performance. I know time takes its toll but I haven't seen so worn out pieces since I work with pool pumps. Bearings worn out, leaking seals, constant air in the pump ( even after continuous bleeding it works for 5-6 h and again there's the same). I can list more weaknesses but it isn't an aim of my review. I just want to strongly advise against purchasing this pump so as not to waste money and don't do my stupidity. Maybe we' ll live in this times we don't need to contruct our own pool pumps to have clean wather......

This delivered with the base cracked. I reached out to Bestway and they didn't reply. Will be returning if Bestway doesn't reach out soon.

This came with next to ZERO. Instructions. Just some pictures without any actual words. Thankfully with the picture on the box and a goodie search for the manual online I got it running.

The 2 I bought, I had to return them. Both arrived broken. They should pack the product better, so that they do not break, when they throw away the boxes.

you can get the sand filter pump and additional parts/skimmer for almost the exact same price … if not better price. wasted money
