WORKS VERY WELL - KEEPS THE BIRDS OFF OF MY WHITE FENCE!! ITEM WAS SHIPPED QUICKLY - VERY HAPPY
For the last few years birds have built multiple nests under my eaves and above my awning in the patio area. I tried putting styrofoam wrapped with tin foil in the area but they pecked it to pieces and pulled everything out before rebuilding. Because they made such a mess with bird droppings all over my windows and patio and my concerns regarding health issues ,I had to discourage them. Bird Be Gone bird spikes seemed the last resort. I attached them with Velcro ties. Now will wait until Spring to see if it deters them.
Without a doubt the worst thing Ive ever bought. Put these up in the inside of the overhang of a patio roof where I remove nests every day. The next morning after install, had a full nest right in the middle of the spikes. Turns out these just give the birds more structure to build up a nest and more protection. Absolute garbage. Oh and the owl statue I tried just sits here and watches them nest.
I had robins building a nest on my porch light fixture. I put one of these up and no more nests. I just set one strip on the fixture no screws or glue and it works perfect. Follow up....robins are now building nest on to of spikes. It worked for a while now the robins are back. Double update...I have a bay window with the spikes on it because the robins were building nests .
can't bend the wire. The plastic stripe the wire was on had to be tide down or put rocks to hold them down. Or it will lay on its side. The pigeons would just bush them out of the way or the wind will blow them away. The pigeons made 5 generations of pigeons! My balcony was not useable by humans!
Dont waste your money! After allowing a nest of baby birds to leave I cleaned the porch, removed the nest and placed the Birds Off! Spikes on each of my columns on the front porch. Within a couple of hours the birds were using the spikes on one of the columns as a foundation for a new and improved nest!
I placed the bird spikes on the double 2"x12" caring beam, between the each joist under my raised deck. I doubled the spikes between each joist placing them outward with the hope that they would prevent birds from landing from either direction. Unfortunately, the robins found them ideal using them as a support for their nest. I now have several nest under my deck. I can not recommend this product.
I installed in afternoon. Spikes were cemented and glued per instructions. Appx 4 hrs later, bird was sleeping on spikes where I recently removed a nest in process. Doesn't deter. I took photograph of bird sleeping on the spike just can't attach. Save your money for something else
Cant figure this out but my chicken learned to get on top and turn their feet and started bouncing on top of the spikes. It was great entertainment for me though.
