I've had this blower for a while now and I must say I am very impressed with it. It starts easily, usually on the second or third pull. It runs great and has great power. It balances great and there is no need for the support sling provided. The blower is easily controlled by one hand and does a great job of blowing debris from my yard. I have a magnolia tree in my yard which sheds leaves year round and this blower handles them with no problem. The three year waranty that comes with it is impressive too.
Ohhh boy. A quick note for anyone who has only ever owned electric or battery operated "hard surface sweepers". This gas-powered axial beast is a completely different animal. I've owned several electric and one 18v lithium blower, there is no comparison. Night and day. In the first picture you can see the spider webs in my garage that are impossible to remove with an electric leaf blower. Wait, you can't see them. Because they're GONE. This blower puts out such a deluge of air, and the way the air stream feels is unlike any blower I've used. The blower end radius is large, and out of it comes a perfectly smooth column of air. It's hard to describe, it's not a turbulent mess of air like most blowers, this is like sticking your hand in a liquid. It's just an endless column of moving air, and it results in an absolutely amazing effective range. The electric blowers typically have incredibly high velocity, but little CFMs. So they're fast, but there's very little there and spider webs and leaves just sort of dance around. Not this guy! You fire that giant column of air at anything and it's outta here. Even simple tasks like blowing tree debris off of my driveway, used to have to take umpteen passes, pushing a foot or two at a time. You can fire sand all the way across your driveway with this thing. It's a little ridiculous, I'm never going back to electric leaf blowers. Why bother? This is completely portable, has the most comfortable rubberized handle I've ever used on a piece of yard equipment, and tears through jobs like it's nothing. I know this probably isn't a sanctioned or recommended use (so do it at your own risk!)...but I even use it to dry my car after washing it. A couple swipes top to bottom and most of the car is dry. Blows water our of annoying spots like behind trim pieces/tail lights etc too. You don't have to watch water drip down your car for the next hour and leave water spots everywhere. I've included a picture of the starting directions, it's your standard 2 cycle starting procedure. Like most modern 2-cycles, it's effortless to start. After priming, it'll usually start sputtering after just one pull. If you're quick enough, you can switch to half choke while it's sputtering and you're off the races. Runs real smooth, not terribly loud but I still use a pair of muffs since hearing is my only sense that still works well and I'd like to keep it that way! I'd recommend you do the same. So final thoughts? If you're looking for a compact, but powerful gas blower, I don't think you can get much better than this one. And hey, it's made in Vietnam. Cool to see that.
Easy to use , Easy to carry ,Light weight , Comes with a nice carrying strap and a 2.6 oz of 2 cycle oil. Easy to assemble. The handle is ergonomic with easy to squeeze button
Assembly is a sinch. Put on nose cone and shoulder strap. 45 seconds later ready to add gas/oil mixture. If you follow the starting instructions, it starts in about 4 pulls. It's a bit heavy, but high power gas blowers are, however the shoulder strap makes it very easy to use. It puts out 160mph breeze. That really helps if you edge sidewalks to remove the dirt and grass. Unlike my Remington blower (that basically you can only use left handed, due to the intake on the left side), because it sucks in your pant leg if you use it right handed. This black max has the intake at the bottom so it is easy to use with either hand, and the strap doesn't let your arm get tired. I used to have to keep changing arms with the old blowers. I have a battery 70 mph blower which is fine for removing light grass, but this one will probably do it in less time. This does not have a vacuum for collecting and mulching leaves, but I never used the one I have for that feature. So this is not a negative. This is a great machine.
I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to evaluate the Black Max 2-Cycle Gas Axial Blower and give an honest opinion. I have recently been looking to purchase a gas powered blower. A few years ago I purchased a small, electric, corded leaf blower that I have been using to clean my garage, mowers, yard, etc. with. It is a good little blower but inconvenient dragging an extension cord around. I am also not able to go around the properties because my extension cord is not long enough. The Black Max Gas Axial Blower is very powerful and convenient in comparison. This leaf blower is very compact and easy to carry around. When you open the box, there is just a plastic tube that you turn onto the end of the device to attach. Also included is a small bottle of 2-cycle oil which makes one gallon of 2-cycle gas mix. The included instruction manual is easy to understand as well. There are operating instructions printed on the blower itself that tells you how to start the machine. I already had a one gallon gas can, so all I needed to do was pour in the bottle of oil. I then filled the can with one gallon of gasoline. After pouring the gas mix into the blower, I pressed the primer bulb 10 times. I then placed the choke on full and pulled the starter rope a couple of times until I heard it try to start. I then moved the choke lever to the half position and pulled the starter rope again and the blower started. I let it run on choke for about 10 seconds and moved the choke lever to run. The engine is very smooth and powerful! I like that the included strap is long enough for tall people like myself. The strap has swivel clips to keep it firmly attached and a thickly padded shoulder pad. I like the soft grip anti-vibration handle also. The big trigger is very responsive when pressed to give you the right amount of air for your cleanup needs. This blower quickly blows grass clippings from sidewalks and streets. Even old, stuck grass that I would typically use a trimmer on it blew away. I was even able to blow peeling paint off of my house foundation with it. When you are finished, just press the red button on the handle and it shuts the blower off. It is loud so be sure and wear hearing protection. You should also wear eye protection because stuff will be flying around like a tornado. Overall, I absolutely love this excellent item and highly recommend it!
I bought this gas blower as a Father's Day gift for my brother. He is so in love with it and very proud to own it. The blower is very powerful for the tough jobs and can be adjusted for medium to low jobs. It really looks great! I'm also impressed with the quickness of delivery time.
I have a full line of electric yard tools made by a major brand. For the most part I love them but sometimes I need more than what they can do. That is where this blower comes in to play. It is easy to use right out of the box. Twist on the included nozzle extension. Mix up the 2 stroke oil/gas mix (oil provided), fill the tank , follow the directions and with just a few pulls you are in business. Very easy to start. The blower is well balanced and easy to use. It is also powerful enough to blow wet leaves and pine straw off the drive way with no problem. I still like my electric blower but for larger jobs and certainly commercial jobs this is the way to go. I do have two minor complaints: 1) there is no extension that allows this to be used to clean gutters etc with out having to get on a ladder. 2) it is LOUD. I can not say that it is louder than any other gas blower but you certainly do want to wear ear (and eye) protection while using it. When your job calls for a blower this one does the job.
Guys if your buying any gas power tool such as mowers, chainsaws , etc. Rather it is 2 cycle or 4 cycle. Use Ethanol Free gas. Ethanol causes carburetors and internal ports and floats to gum up quickly. And after one use the unit will not start anymore .
One reviewer called it a "beast" and it is. It has incredible power. It is very loud and somewhat heavy, but does what you buy a blower to do. It seems as powerful as a couple of backpack blowers that I have used. It is relatively easy to start but has to be choked to restart even when it is warm, not sure why. Running too lean? Don't know. But it blows the heck out of leaves, and I like it.
This things works great off the bat but it only lasted me for about a year and i only used it maninly during fall and a few times throughout the year. The gas cap started leaking gas after a piece fell off of it so my garage constantly smelled like gas after storing this thing. I followed the gas ratio but after a few months the blower seems to run better when its on half choke and when switched to full choke it lost power at times. I have changed carburetors on my old blowers before but this one is not the same to the ones you normaly find on most brands. I dont think you can adjust the gas/air mixture like you can on most other carburetors either! That being said i could not get this thing to start again after so many attempts and frustration. It will work fine for a bit but youll regret throwing your money away later! Youve been Warned! ⚠️
