BLACK+DECKER 12-Cup Drip Coffee Maker with Easy On/Off Switch and Sneak-A-Cup Feature

I had a Black and Decker before and knew I did a solid when i purchased another. It it easy to use and makes a pot perfect. pour in water put your scoops of coffee in filter, close the top and flip turn on done then you can turn off manually. simple and done.

I was just going to leave it with 4* as it is very basic. But, I tested the Watts it uses while in operation. This coffee maker uses around the 850W now compared to my previous one it's very efficient.y previous one ran at 1450W. It's important to me as I often am in the camper using Power stations and back up Batteries. So that is quite a saving in power.

Our expensive, complicated old coffee maker gave up the ghost, and we thought: Let's try something relatively inexpensive and simple! You won't find a coffee maker simpler than this one, but we love it. It works great, it's easy to clean, it keeps the coffee piping hot for as long as you want, and it's available at an incredible low price. The auto pause feature is great, and you have to love the permanent filter. We do, anyway. For what it's worth, the coffee maker seems well made, too, in this age of total junk. Of course only time will tell on that score. Anyway, what's not to like?

I like the size of this coffee maker. The glass pot doesn't drip, which is a plus. Simple to operate. Makes good coffee and good priced. I dislike that the burner shuts down after 2 hours, but the maker does not. I never know how hot my coffee is going to be around the 2 hour mark without setting a timer.

The item description indicates this has auto off after 2 hours. IT DOES NOT! "Keep warm plate: Nonstick plate keeps brewed coffee at serving temperature for up to about two hours.​" Ergonomics: The hot water distribution faucet (red in picture) is large and right in the center, it blocks too much of the fill space to fill without a mess. The switch is on the side instead of the front, the unit is light weight so it takes two hands to push the on/off switch. One to hold the coffee maker from sliding.

The price for this coffee maker is great, but we found it impossible to brew 10 cups of coffee. The force of the water hitting the grounds made them blow up inside the coffee maker. We ended up making 8 cups of coffee and the grounds rose to the very top of the basket. We think because the water flows so quickly it does not make coffee to our satisfaction.

The coffee pot is self is OK. The craft glass is so thin that it broke the second day I had it and I'm trying to find a replacement at Walmart and they do not have the right size so I do not. I would never recommend this coffee pot stick with Mr. coffee.

Bought in December and today is April 3 and it just stopped working. Light comes on, but thats all it does. Very disapointed in a Black %26 Decker product.

The shower head is too close to the water container making it difficult to pour water in the container. There is no automatic shutoff, and the condensation from the steam does not dry out. The unit stays wet. I threw this unit away and purchased a better one.

I'm sure the coffee maker itself is fine? I got mine and it leaks every time I make a pot of coffee from the moment I received it! Such an inconvenience..
