Great and small rice cooker but serves a good amount without being wasted .. you just place your rice in the cooker and flick the cook and bam leave it and it will be done on its own and stay warm enjoy! Simple a 1-2 eat

at 1st I was disappointed my 6 cup rice cooker will only hold 4.5 cups; but i loaded it up and it cooked rice perfectly. it has a lot of potential as a warmer for children or senior adults just to heat food. but being a southern girl from Alabama my 2nd test was grits and it did the job, you have to check on them %26 switch to warm; but my grits were perfect. Don't underestimate the versatility of this appliance.

I thought I was getting a 6 cup rice cooker. it's a three cup and it's identical to the 3 cup RC I returned because I wanted a 6 cup. I don't understand the 5 dollar difference and the description?? works awesome though (like most B%26D products) and delivered super fast. I added a 12 ounce soda in the picture for scale

perfect rice cooker and for 20$ couldn't find a better one. When the cooker clicks from cook to warm, i immediately unplug the cooker to or it over cooks the rice, and it will suck to the bottom. There is on on off, just plug and away you go. Oh, when you plug it in and are ready to cook, you have to click it to cook, it defaults to "keep warm".

The steaming basket that comes with the rice cooker is made from complete plastic. With that being said i’m not completely comfortable steaming anything inside of a plastic container that’s meant to cook “ fish or vegetables” On the material description nowhere does it say that the basket is made from plastic, from the picture it looks like it’s made from a more durable material. The spoon is also made from the same plastic and seems thin, i’ve had thicker plastic spoons that melted so i probably will be replacing the serving spoon and the basket. Had i known that the steaming basket was made from plastic i most definitely would not have made this purchase. The rice cooker cooks rice well as expected but the basket and spoon have to go! The rice cooker made 2 cups of dry rice and was enough for 3 servings and left overs for the next day. the pot is small/big enough for a family of 2-3.

I want to say first that this is the second steamer I have bought with Black and Decker. Loved the first one , guess I used it so much it wore out! Couldn't wait to get another. I steam vegs every day! Anyway i ordered a 6 cup and I think it shrunk. Either they put a 3 cup in the 6 cup box or as things change all the time:) I'm going to keep it as returning sometimes is a pain, you know. I will just go directly to the store so i can see what I'm getting as opposed to ordering online. It's still a great product and I still recommend it.

I would have given 5 stars but the box said 6 cup which is what I wanted. When I got it, it was only a 3 cup. Will still use it but make sure you get the size you are wanting.
