THE PRICE AND PROMPT DELIVERY
Had to order charger and battery from black and decker
The first one arrived and would not turn on, but Walmart replaced it quickly, no questions asked. The second one worked, and works well. My only comment would be that switching between blower and vacuum can be a bit fiddly, with the bag/blower tube being a little tricky to remove. I would also suggest getting two batteries, although I have a weed wacker also, so double up between them.
This blower is really good but does not come with the battery and charger so be prepared to spend somewhere close to $200 for those in addition to the cost of the actual blower. I gave a 3 star because this isn't clarified when you buy the blower. I was ready for it only because I had read the reviews. It does work well for what I need.
Already own other B%26D 40V tools %26 wanted to use same batteries. The leaf vacuum doesn't suck hard enough to pull avocado leaves into the tube. Have to constantly use my hand to guide leaves into the tube. Frustrating! Bag is too small and the clip to attach it to the small plastic piece on the machine is a weak point which will wear out and break over time. I Permanently attached a Carabiner to use as a more durable attachment point. I like the lighter weight compared to others, but overall I'm not impressed.
It is not clear that the battery and charger are sold separately. The Product Details actually say, "It has a rechargeable 40-volt 1.5Ah battery for easy use that will give users reliable power year after year. " This led to be think the battery and charger would be included with purchase.
We have been using these and keep two for tag teaming our cleanup jobs. When they work we love them. Problem is we have one go dead about every 2-3 months to the point of having to replace it. We have several batteries we swap in and out but the dead unit just refuses to turn back on. I have tried blowing out the battery contacts with canned air and the one that just died I took apart and checked all the wiring and connections and nothing helped. We can't be replacing the entire unit every few months. Have gone through at least 3 dead units over the past 9 months.
Item does not come with battery and charger. When it arrives, there is no battery or charger in the box, so the device is totally useless! We are SO UPSET and feel we got scammed, as it is apparently non-returnable. It is very hard to find/buy the correct battery and charger for this model separately. Had the web description been honest and it indicated "battery and charger not included," we would not have bought it. It is a total waste of money, and I recommend not buying this product and getting one that has a battery and charger included. Also beware of purchasing anything that is non-returnable from an outlet store! You are totally at their mercy, if you have a problem. We are disappointed beyond measure and really needed this device asap for our yard.
Don't purchase this item! Feel completely scammed! Conflicting information about it including the battery! And then having to do ridiculous amount of research to figure out what batter AND charger fits this model! Not a purchase I would recommend.
Box came without the battery pack or the charger although both are listed in the components and/or charging instructions. Now after paying for sweeper vac I have to try to track down a battery pack and charger. So far it looks like something I'll have to special order.
