This came in handy after purchasing a cordless trimmer and blower combo that only came with one battery.

Bought a B&D hedge trimmer with the 40V 1.5Ah battery. It gets used only a few times a year but after four years, the charger flashes red and won't charge the battery. Very disappointing as the product seemed to be of good quality and worked well. With the price of a replacement battery being so high, the choices are to buy a non-B&D replacement battery and roll the dice or just get a new hedge trimmer. I don't think I'll purchase another B&D product after this.

Battery will not charge past one bar then the charger (LCS36) light starts flashing red randomly. I will contact Walmart or seller for a refund or replacement.

Like many others, I almost immediately ran into issues with the charger flashing red and not charging. I got this battery two summers ago, and now it will not charge at all. I'm very disappointed

I just got this trimmer. It will probably be returned. The battery life and charging times are ridiculous. 15 minutes and 3.5 hours. The cost of a faster charger and and another battery is way to much compared to competitors.

I bought this on a hedge trimmer a year ago and it's failed already. It shows a full charge, won't start the tool, and when you put it in the charger, the charger just blinks the red light on and off. I can't make it work. Extremely disappointed as these batteries are outrageously expensive.

Cheap junk that wont charge past 50% after only three summers of use. Black and decker refuses to stand behind their products.

This battery never worked. The first time I used it, it only lasted 15 minutes and then when I put it on the charger it blinks red and states it is a bad battery.
