BLACK+DECKER Programmable 12-Cup Drip Coffee Maker

This coffee maker is incredible and perfect for daily use. I use it everyday in my kitchen. I can set the maker to make coffee in the morning the night before for a fresh cup of coffee first thing in the morning. You can grab a cup as it brews as well. It doesn't take long to brew a full carafe. It is super easy to wipe down and reminds you to clean it after a hundred uses. It is super easy to maintain, super easy to control, comes with great features, and is a decent price.

We i've been using this style of Black %26 Decker coffee pot or about 15 or 16 years now. This will be our third one. The other two having been replaced due to a broken carafe and we have just decided since they've been in service seven or eight years at a whack that we just go ahead and replace the whole thing. This time really glad we did. Well, this model is exactly the same in size and shape the improvements to the pot being the handle and the way it pours are welcomed. As well as the controls have changed to adding a strong brew button, which is appreciated.

Pretty nicely made actually bought the Mr Coffee first which was a little cheaper and we had one that lasted almost ten years but it was cracked on the lid and it was such thin plastic and this black and decker is much better the plastic is much thicker and the lid opens to the back which I prefer and it’s also nicer looking and the coffee is nice and hot works great

I am so happy you have this service because my coffeemaker died that morning and my arthritis is really bad right now so the thought of trying to walk through that big store to get a coffeemaker was like no option and amazon would at least be a day or two so this was just perfect for me !! I wish you did put some benches in the store its a huge store and us older customers need to sit for a few minutes I know you used to have them but took them out and there are alot of us older people in Madison so I hope you reconsider that idea

I was given my coffee pot by a family member. It was one of the fancy cusinart brands. I didn’t really care for it but I needed one and it was a gift! That one quit after about 2 years. I shopped online and since I already owned several other Black %26 Decker appliances I opted for the coffee pot. Maybe it’s my imagination but the coffee comes out hotter and tastes better. It’s easier to use and program. It also lets me know when it needs to be cleaned! I love my new coffee pot and will almost definitely pick the Black %26 Decker brand in the future.

The only reasons I gave this a four star is because I think it sprays so intensely that coffee grounds go above the filter, but rarely into the coffee. The other reason is the auto shut off. I want more than two hours to drink my pot of coffee. When I go back to get more, it’s off and will not be hot by the time I notice. It’s great for ppl who are forgetful or busy but not for me lol to stop this from happening I just turn it off and on again to restart the timer! It’s a full-size coffee maker but it’s not huge. We’ve come across a lot of coffee pots that are so tall they wont fit under our cabinets but this one fits perfectly! But I would definitely buy it again because it works well and fast. I set up coffee the night before and set the timer and it is done by the time I wake up in the morning! Hasn’t failed me yet!

The unit is supposed to stop brewing when the carafe is removed so you can take a cup of coffee. It does not. I found out when it kept running and the coffee poured all over the warming plate and stained it. It looks beautiful, and is easy to use, but does not function well.

If you don't have the basket in there perfectly, you'll end up with a coffee 'flood' all over. Basket filled up with water and overflowed the first couple times I used it. Feels very cheaply made too, for a Black and Decker product. Once you do figure out how to get the basket in there correctly, it's ok. I wish I'd have just re-bought the brand I had previously that stopped working.

This coffee maker should be recalled. It has a P65 warning that I did not see when I purchased it. I had a Black and Decker for 4 years prior to this, but water started leaking out the bottom. This one is poorly designed. The new "shower" spray part is ridiculous. Not only does it look cheap, but it makes so much steam that the components stay wet all the time. I've only made 6 cups at a time. Any more than that and the grounds would go over the top of the basket liner, and they are for up to 12 cups. The P65 warning is due to styrene and PBA's. Not something any of us need more of. I'm looking into stainless steel percolators. Very disappointed in Black and Decker with this one. I have returned it.

It didn't work right -- water poured into basket too fast, water/coffee grounds mix spilled over and the coffee in the carafe had grounds in it. I tried it several times, 12 cups --then made cups, then 8 cups, over a few days and it never did work right so I returned it to store. Maybe they are all bad or maybe I purchased a "lemon."
