I prefer this bread flour over the other top quality brands. It's hard to explain why without knowing more about the flours that have included. More information about this would help to make us better bread bakers.
I bought myself a bread maker on Black Friday. I have made many loaves of bread. This Artisian Bread Flour by my favorite company makes wonderful tasting bread. It always mixes well with other flours, though my fav bread is using it exclusively . It does make a difference following the recommended amounts of ingredients by your bread maker instructions. You will have perfect bread! Thank you Bob's Red Mill for making good quality products. God bless you!
I've been using a generic kind of brand of flour for my pizza creations and have had some good success but this was the stuff that taught me there's a massive difference in types of flour. I was struggling to get the right texture/pull/anything with my dough and it just felt off. I kept trying different things and got pretty good. I went to buy some different flour and happened to pick up this back due to walmart cash (awesome). Well the difference was totally different. I now feel spoiled. My dough fees so much better, rolls better, wets better, stretches the wheat better, etc. Proofs great and making bubbly happy doughs for my pizza. I love this!
I purchased Bob's Red Mill Artisan Bread Flour to make rye bread because it was a listed ingredient. I was blown away by the recipe for no-knead artisan bread provided on the bag. 4 ingredients, just a half teaspoon of yeast, no sugar, and no electricity needed. It's so fast, easy, and thoroughly loved by the family that I will be frequently making this one...and purchasing this bread flour often. I strongly recommend it. I also strongly recommend a spurtle to mix it. Tips to substitute dutch oven are available on google. I wish i had done this earlier, I honestly thought it would be messier, more complex and labor intensive than it is.
Bleached bread flour is so terrible to consume. It has so many additives. Unbleached bread flour has a much simpler ingredient list. It makes eating bread much more natural. Another item that can be used for more natural baked goods, unbleached all purpose flour, not bleached all purpose flour. Just read the ingredients on the bag .
Bob's RM unbleached artisan bread flour is great for sourdough recipes, 12-14%. We are glad Walmart carries this product. Glad the spring mix was fresh and not already wilting. The fresh carrots look delicious and are fresh and not old and soft. We should have ordered a larger size of pb. This is going to be gone in a flash! It's usually better to order the larger size at a better value as well.
I find this flour to be ideal for home bread-making. I am an avid sourdough and no knead baker and use a fair amount of bread flour. Great to support an employee-owned company that makes the best products. Would also recommend their yeast.
I love the flour… my only complaint is that the delivery process was not good at all this time … they send me the bag of flour open already and when I took it back from plastic bag, it was a mess
Baking Sourdough Loafs, Bagels, Boules. Store well and the structure of the loafs are pretty good. I keep buying this flour. Now if they would have bigger bags it would help out.
Upon delivery, the driver noticed the bag of flour was punctured. She said she would sumbit for a replacement. I asked if I should do it, and she assured me she would handle it. I never received a replacement.
