This Brinks door lock latch definitely does the job. The kit comes with the screws needed to attach the lock to whatever you need to keep safe. It would have been nice if they included 1 extra screw just in case you drop and lose one. The hasp and loop were very easy to install. The hardest part is lining it up but that wasn't an issue since I marked the holes with a pencil first. The hasp and loop seem very durable and strong and are weatherproof. I haven't had it long enough to comment on the weatherproof part. The package does not include the lock so make sure you get that separately. This hasp and loop would work to keep just about any door/lid closed and protected. Just make sure you attach it to something that holds and keep the screws secure. If you attach it to something that the screws can easily be pulled out of, it won't work correctly.

Weighty and solid. Good quality and if applied properly will secure your area but finding a secure lock is the real issue for me. Theif neighbors are career criminals and pride themelves in getting whatever they want regardless how much consideration in securing my property. Not the product fault. Why cannot they made padlocks for these hasps that cannot be hacked?? Try to resolve that.

This Brinks Zinc Coated 4.5-inch Fixed Staple Hasp with Hardened Steel Loop is a sturdy unit and works great for lots of different things. It is perfect for lockers, doors, tool boxes, ect. We used it on our wood shed to keep our tools safe and secure. It is simple to install and takes only a few minutes to get the job done. You need a Phillips screwdriver, drill, and pencil to mark the locations for the screws. Directions are on the back of the package. I like that it is weather resistant and so far it doesn't show any rust or damage from the weather. It still works perfectly and is great. I am happy with this product and would recommend it.

My old hasp on my storage shed started rusting out and I needed something much better because I keep a lot of valuable tools and lawn equipment , plus my motorcycle during the winter cold months. I saw this Brink hasp on Walmart website and order it. I was very pleased when I opened the package. The hasp is thicker and stronger compared to my old one. I also like that it is Zinc coated to prevent or slow down the rust. It is also very strong and that should hope prevent some rust. I definitely recommend this Brink Hasp.

Easy to use easy to install

I was going to put this on the door to an old metal shed, but I didn’t take into account that the metal has ridges. There was no way to attach the hasp and staple the way the ridges were situated. I’ll definitely keep it and use it on something else. I think if it is attached to a shed door with a lock, it would deter a casual burglar, but someone determined to break in would be able to do so with a little effort

This hard steel lock loop works really good on my patio side gate which we only use once a week to set out the trash cans. I like that it was easy to install and it works well with any standard heavy-duty pad lock. I feel a little safer knowing that I have an extra lock on my side gate now so I don't have to worry about someone walking around on my property or letting the dogs or kids out when they're playing outside. This loop is very strong and can't be knocked off the wall easily. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a steel lock loop.
