Does the job.
This item appears to be a solidly manufactured padlock hasp. Mounting screws were included, but we replaced them with longer, heavier duty screws. Over time, we'll see how well the zinc plating holds up against our wet, rust inducing Oregon weather. As the old saying goes...we coastal Oregonians don't tan, we RUST!

Swivel hasp works well, but not indestructible.
Easy to mount. Doesn't appear to rust in rain or snow (midwest weather). The rotating part can be broken off by a very determined child slamming a deck gate, which is why we have rebought it. Pros far outweighed the cons.

I ordered this item with a keylock. I received one that needs a padlock which I didn't buy. Because I shouldn't have needed it.
