Bruce's Yams Candied Sweet Potatoes in Syrup, 16 oz Can

I was NOT expecting much here at all! Wow was I surprised. NO these are not home baked candy yams and if you ever think that comes in a can, well it just won't! However if you want a quick side (ESPECIALLY WITH PORK) on one of those nights you can't be bothered with cooking LOOK NO FURTHER! These are tasty in a nice light syrup that produce a nicely sweet yam without doing a thing. Mix a little corn starch in before heating and the light syrup will thicken and WAYLA!! SAUCE! I WILL NOT BUY REGULAR YAMS AGAIN, EVEN IF I AM MAKING A CASSEROLE! Of course cooking from scratch will never compare but lets face it, we don't always have that luxury with the working moms out there! This is something your kids can open and have if there are teens at home cooking for self or a younger sibling! Cost? Is it of value? You have to determine the value of what it brings to your home... in my home its a great value!

There are very few canned foods that can be opened, heated and served without having to add ingredients in an attempt to improve the bland flavor, but Bruce's Yams Candied Sweet Potatoes in Syrup is one of those that you can be confident is fabulous, flavorful and satisfying without any added help from the chef! Bought 4-16 oz cans to feed my crowd at Thanksgiving.

They have the flaror of candied yams without all the work. My stand by for every Thanksgiving Or where yams go with my meal. Long shelf life but go fast in my household.

These sweet potatoes are very tasty. I add a little nutmeg and butter to mine and they are delicious! Just heat and serve and enjoy.

Very easy to prepare, I cut them in half cove them with a little Brown sugar, small piece of Butter, a little bit of pumpkin spice, then cover with Honey. Bake in oven at 350 until golden brown. Always a hit.

This tastes so good! It does not taste like canned yams. It is as close to homemade you can get for being from a can. Wish it would come in larger sizes.

Bruce's Candied Yams are my choice when I want sweet potatoes. They already have spices in them. They mash easily with a fork if you want sweet mashed potatoes. Yummy!

A bit expensive for a small can but Delicious! Wish I could buy in bulk at a better price at Sam's club. I don't understand why it's not available there and at All Walmart stores. I only know of ONE Walmart that sells it

Well I LOVE sweet potatoes, no matter how they're fixed. I love Bruce's Yams. Being these said candied I assume they would be on the sweet side, so I purchased them. Totally disappointed I couldn't seem to even get them to thicken or sweet. No matter how much sugar I added. Needless to say I would never purchase again, they're not worth the price. I will stick to the regular Bruce's Yams, which I love.

This product never did get delivered, it was one of the eight missing items I did not receive. It took me a week to get a refund acknowledged, not very happy with Walmart delivery program
