These are delicious. They don't taste "fishy" at all but rather fresh with no after taste or smell. My family likes them as a snack or a light lunch or dinner with crackers, mustard and some onion. They are boneless and are the best brand on the market. Will continue to buy them. Walmart has a good price on these too.

I like this brand the best for eating with crackers or in dishes. It doesn't hold together well for grilling or making an actual sandwich, but the taste and texture is perfect for using to create a nice meal.

I do recommend this item to people I know who like kippered herring. HOWEVER, I would suggest that Walmart set minimum guidelines for shipping this item. I recently purchased 6 of these, which arrived in one of the new-ish heavy paper stock (near light weight cardboard) mailing envelopes. 2 of them had opened in transit — possibly stepped on? At any rate, all the cans were covered in fish oil. We cleaned the cans that were still intact. Walmart wanted me to return the damaged/open cans, which we had already thrown away. I would recommend that for shipping these should ALWAYS be placed in a box w crumpled paper filling excess space. I fully support minimizing packing materials whenever possible. This wasn't a good decision for this item, which should have been obvious given the way the kippered herring can is made. THIS DAMAGE ONLY OCCURRED DUE TO INADEQUATE PACKING. There's a very simple fix to prevent any recurrences anywhere w/in the entire chain. It's still a good item %26 a good value for content. Just not so true if a third of your items have to be thrown away. I don't know anyone who would keep the damaged cans as long as it might take before being able to return to the nearest store's customer service area.

I used to eat kippered snack with my grandfather, so this product has good memories with it.I have found the quality of the seafood consistent Makes a great snack and a good source of protein.

I'm very pleased with this brand of kippered herring. The "kipper" is mild and not overly salty. The price per container is very good. Protein is an expensive part of the diet. This is an inexpensive source of high quality protein. Although herring is pretty much a big sardine there's no extra bits of fish staring back at you here. Just nice portions of filet. Try it!

Kippered Hearing with oily base, just what the doctor said. Are you tired and have trouble thinking clearly? FATTY FISH, not fish with fat, but the oils in the fish itself can alleviate some of the memory with increased mental energy. This is not for the Kippered Hearing, but the complete line of foods in the Mediterranean Diet. For me, Walmart carries most of all that I need .

Came as expected, was delicious and best value for similar items. *SIDE NOTE* mix with Great Value vegetable cream cheese for a delicious spread for crackers!!

What can I say, I love stinky fish. Nice snack food with a smoky flavor. Grandma and grandpa got me hooked on herring fillets when I was a child. Bless their hearts.

In all fairness, the texture and presentation are fine, but I really disliked these. They have a sharp, almost astringent quality—like canned fish that's lost its mildness over time. While the ingredients are simple, the flavor just doesn't work for me. The 3.53 oz tin is fine for portion control and offers plenty of protein, but I would never use kippered herring for sandwiches. Personally, I've always eaten herring with saltines and Miracle Whip since childhood, and this brand just doesn't measure up anymore.

I ordered a multipack of 4 but only got one can. That won't cut it. Now I have to go to the store to get the other cans of these. The list of groceries I ordered says "Multipack" but then it only sent one.
