I have a very low expectation that package spices can be good, but, Im willing to try almost anything. As a baseline, I use Popeyes red beans and rice, which I find tasty. This was better probably due to the freshness of the beans and spices. As the dehydrated vegetables rehydrate you end up with something that lends to thinking this is made from scratch. Will this replace making it from scratch with a smoked pork shank? No, but its 80% there for 10% of the effort. Ill be making more again soon. Nuff said.

I suggest that you add infusions for all your bean varieties. Two is not enough! You should also offer various levels of spicy for each bean - from mild to hot. I added andouille sausage to the red bean infusion, which made the complete dish even a little hotter.

It was good but a little to spicy hot and my husband couldn't eat it. I also added tomatoes and onions and other spices.

This is 1 seasoning packet for 1 pound of beans. For almost $5, I thought this would be a tin of seasoning for multiple uses. I should have read the instructions prior to purchasing. This is a ridiculous price for a packet of seasoning, especially since the first ingredient is salt.
