It does help having the ISO on the adapter.

Brook February 1, 2026

I'm a fan of the ISO control ring near the lens. Beats hitting the ISO button, then scrolling on the camera itself. It's also helped me transition to my mirrorless camera and lens system by already being used to the ISO on the lens.

necessity for canon

Jason September 30, 2025

if you have old cropped lenses and you buy an RF cannon full frame, you must own this adaptor! auto focus, i guess it auto crops, but no more black edges that you have to crop out.

Switching to mirrorless and have lots of EF lenses? Buy this!

MattTinMI October 11, 2021

This adapter makes using EF lenses of R series cameras effortless Basically, it's just a metal ring that moves the lens a bit away from the image sensor so it focuses properly with the correct focal length. Doesn't even have--or need--optics. But it is very well-constructed with precision and quality finish you won't find in third-party adapters. The control ring on this model is a nice addition as it adds extra functionality EF lenses lack on their own. How often do adapters ADD features with zero reduction in functionality? And it doesn't add excessive weight or bulk to the setup. A great purchase!

The control ring brings back a bit of analog nostalgia

K Morris May 11, 2025

Having the control ring adds an additional amount of control. Being really "old school" from the days when the aperture was controlled by a similar ring on a lens, brings back a bit of nostalgia along with an additional way to control the camera.

Quick Lens Adapting Solution

J Keegs September 25, 2024

So easy to use. Allows me to adapt all my EF lenses to my new R6 camera body saving me from having to re-purchase. A must if upgrading to the R-series mirror less.

Great way to use EF lenses on new mirrorless

TracyB August 16, 2021

Adapts my EF lenses to my mirrorless wonderfully. Works well for non-Canon brand lenses as well. Made it easier to get into mirrorless knowing I wouldn't have to buy all new lenses. Control ring gives you some alternative options for changing settings which is nice.

Adapter works great

Tony7779 March 15, 2021

It works but I had to purchase this version because the simple version was not available and third party sellers were taking advantage of the fact charging the same price as this one with a control ring. I'm happy I can use all my lenses until I can afford an L series RF

It does what it says it does.

Razz August 26, 2021

It does exactly what I need, allow me to use some EF glass with my R5 and R6. I bought the Control Ring version, because I didn't know I would regret not having it. The issue I have found it I am not using the ring. It's in a different place for each lens and this ring, so that means avoiding it. If I did it again I would buy the cheaper version without the ring.

Seller cancelled my order to mark the price up..

Wyatt June 3, 2024

Ordered it 2 days ago and today I got a notification that this item was cancelled. Called Walmart and they had no explanation as to why it was cancelled. Start looking at the order and clicked on the item to see if perhaps it was sold out (I'd understand that they cancelled it for that) but nope, still available but for the full price. It was only a $20 difference so I decided I'd buy it on Amazon since they are an actual authorized seller and I wouldn't get screwed over for $20, ridiculous.
