CAP Barbell Standard 1” Curl Bar and Dumbbell Handle Set

If you are a beginning to intermediate weight lifter, this is an excellent starter set. These require 1 inch weight plates. Both bars are well made, the clips hold weights safely. Excellent value. The bars are lightweight. The dumbbells have a max capacity of 50 pounds, the EZ curl bar is 100 pounds. More than enough for getting started with weight lifting. I have been lifting weights for decades. I still go to the YMCA to lift heavy. I wanted reasonable priced equipment for my home and this set is perfect. At home, I workout alone with lighter weights for safety, so I do not require heavy duty Olympic (2 inch) sized equipment.

Nice barbell set. I had to purchase the weight plates also from Walmart. I use two 2.5 lb. weights on each side for a total of ten pounds. It sits nicely on top of my weight bench. The smaller dumbbells are also a nice addition; I may utilize them if I decide to purchase more weight plates.

EZ bar (1" standard bar) is a great way to work on biceps at home. It is like getting the dumbbells for free. Dumbbell are better for workouts. I prefer the 1" standard size as that is the weights I have for the dumbbells I bought long ago. I would recommend this set for a home gym for someone who is not into body building with extreme weights. The down sides are the difficult to us spring plate clips and the bar size being noticeable less than 1 inch. With the spring clips firmly in place there was no plate wiggle in either the EZ bar or dumbells. All in all a great price and good quality.

Shipment came on time and everything was as described. The spring clips are fairly strong and don't foresee any issues with them not holding weights. They seem to be good quality gor the great price.

My son and I use these with our weight system. He's an early teen so the weight of the bars are just right for him getting started. They are great for my self as well to do light lifting. definitely would recommend.

Not to heavy for a lady trying to get fit . The bar itself is easy to grip when bench pressing and arm curls.

Its a hollow tube. Not sturdy, might handle some weight but i would rather invest a bit more and get the solid bar. Grip pattern was a bit off too. Weights wont snug fit with the standard spring collars.
