Char-Griller Smokin' Stone Jr.

This is a good solid product - fits well. I'm just getting started learning how to smoke food, so I don't know much yet. I think this should probably come standard with the smoker, but guess you can just factor it into the overall purchase price - still a good deal.

So glad they made this. I came up with a diffuser for the Akorn Jr using a canning rack and a small pizza stone and it worked okay. This works better and is easier to manage. If you buy an Akorn Jr, which I also recommend, then absolutely buy this too. Oh, and CharGriller ships very fast. I got it in 3 days; GA to VA with standard shipping.

Quality porcelian stone, don't waist your hard earned money on look alike stone, you'll find their quality is not the same as the CharGriller stone. This stone is easy to clean, and because it is thicker than the knock-off brands, it ensures a more stable temperature. When your smoking you will quickly see the CharGriller difference in the results.

I am pleased with the backorder timeline as the stone just showed up within two weeks of ordering it. I have used it twice and it makes a positive difference in the outcomes. I grilled chicken first and the stone helped maintain heat in the Akorn and then I made 4 pizzas at 450. It worked perfectly and made for a nice crispy crust. I would recommend this to anyone using an Akorn Jr.

Love it. Thick enough that he does not feel like it's going to break. Perfect size that allow enough air around but no direct flame on your meat as you smoke it.

This is a must have accessory for your Char-griller! Heats up evenly and controls the temperature very good! Made pizza on this stone and going to smoke a rack of lamb. I'm considering adding another one. Thx

Surprised it was a 3/4" thickness plate. Form,Fit and function on the nose. Was hard to find in stock for quite a while. Also fits in my RV oven. My other ceramic disc's were just a little too big...

Works great for low and slow. Without the stone the roast gets to black on the outside.

Stops flare ups. Helps consistency of heat. So happy I got this at same time I got the Jr.

Haven't used it yet. I live in Ohio and it's cold out. I do like that it is thick and looks as though it will hold out.
