Weber Lighter Cubes

i only cook on charcoal grill, year round, since i bought these cubes several years ago,it makes life simple. rain snow or shine they light, easy and fast. webber is the grill expert and these are such a convenience with no after taste of lighter fluid or , inconvenience of a chimney starter

I've been using the Weber chimney for many years, but always with newspaper and often wondered if there was a better way to get my charcoal started. Lo and behold I noticed on a YouTube video someone using these little cubes, they appeared to be made of wax or some substance, but they lighted immediately and there wasn't any muss or fuss about how they started the charcoal. I hadn't been able to find the product locally, so when I was purchasing some other items to 'upgrade' my Weber 18", I went for these and have been supremely glad I did. They start immediately and burn as long as is needed to get my charcoal going. There's very little left when it's done, so no messy cleanup either. Wonderful invention!

The Weber lighter cubes are consistent in starting a charcoal fire. They have no odor or taste residue. I have used the Weber cubes for years...they always work perfectly.

These work better than newspapers in a chimney and one does not need lighter fluid.

These little cubes work great. One is all it takes to start the fire. I use them with the chimney started.

it actually works, nice part you can break into pieces so you dont have to use a whole pne, bad side it smells gassy

It worked well at lighting the charcoal but it has a pretty strong odor similar to lighter fluid. While I couldn't taste what I smelled, I would prefer something non-chemical.
