Weber Char-Baskets Briquette Holder

in addition to aiding indirect cooking, these backets can be put together in the middle of the grate (flat sides touching each other) so you can bring the coals right up to the steak you want to sear. Also excellent for using just a few briquettes if cooking for two.

This a great addition to my Weber Charcoal grill. It really helps with "indirect" heat for cooking chicken and other items that require a slower cooking method.

My husband wanted these for his birthday, and is very happy with them. They work well and are good quality.

If you own a weber grill, you have to have these. They allow you to have a "cool side" on your grill. I use them every time I grill and the food comes out excellent.

These baskets are great! I tend to use less charcoal (Sorry Weber). I use these for direct and indirect cooking (and smoking) they are nice you can move them around. If you buy these you will not be disappointed.

My husband loves these. He won't let me order any others. This is his second set , not bad for he has had his weber grill for 12 years. We bought first set when we got his grill.

Char-Baskets work fine - for the price of them they should be made of a more substantial material; my last lot were fine for 18 months then the bum burnt out of them !!!

These charcoal holders are perfect for indirect heat for long slow cooking. Add the drip pan to catch fat so that flare ups don't occur and you can cook for 6 hours with one addition of charcoal! In my general case both sides don't keep burning but one side is enough to keep 300 degrees for 3 hours. It's smazing for a Boston Butt or lamb shoulder. My highest compliments to Weber for these accessories. Oh, add the additional roast rack too to elevate the roast a bit for that convection mode cooking.

The baskets are a must-have for everyone with a 22in Weber, enabling one to place heated coals on one side, on each side, or in center of grill. Baskets keep hot coals from direct contact with sides of grill. I pour the fuel from chimney starter directly into the baskets placed together, then use 16" tongs to position the baskets.

I've been grilling for many years, but have only done indirect cooking a few times. Piling the charcoal on the side of the grill is good, but having a basket to hold the coals after starting them in the chimney helps in the long run. I've been thinking about getting these for many months, but finally, as I was getting some other items, I went ahead and got these as well. They work just fine for what they were designed for. On a smaller 18" grill, you don't really need both of the baskets, but they come in a pair, so you're left with one for later use if the other gets damaged. It works very well for what it was designed for, but the aluminum is a little flimsy, so I don't expect it's going to last forever.
