Chiquita Banana Bread Mix (13.7 oz., 3 pk.)

I like that I just add a few things to the mix and stir it good and it's ready to cook. I add either walnuts or pecans and chocolate chip morsels. There's no substitute for making banana bread from scratch but this mix has a great taste. I also add extra banana for flavor.

And what makes this even better, a little extra banana does good, a big dollop of sour cream and nuts of your choice of which I like pecans or walnuts. Also instead of water I use milk or half and half and the bananas once they get over ripe I put them in the freezer and when I use them they make the bread even better. When I my small bread pans of which I use three I use a spray and flower and I use the excess and add a little bit more flour to the mix approximately a quarter cup and wow 40 minutes later the best banana bread you've ever eaten. I have a really good friend and her family and her parents have a bakery and I got a compliment the other day and they said that that's the best banana bread they've ever eaten. You have to try it this way it's great

I saw this product in my local supermarket, but for one banana bread only. when I saw it in Sams, getting 3 loaves of banana bread for the same price as one, I knew I would love this bargain. the taste was very good, next time Ill use more bananas, just because I have them, for a deeper taste

i like these mixes, but i think are quite expensive...

I was looking for a shortcut to a full blown banana bread or blueberry bread recipe. Sometimes you hear of someone sick or down and you want to do something for them but are short on time. The blueberries at Sam's are GORGEOUS! I wondered how versatile this mix would be. I subbed 1 C blueberries for bananas. YUMMMMMM! I pronounce it good! It's not as perfect as my favorite homemade recipe but it sure is perfect as an easy shortcut!

Something wrong with this mix, it is not like the regular mix you can buy one package at a time.

This was the most unpleasantly gummy-textured banana bread I have ever eaten, I had to make it twice to make sure I didn't mess up really bad. Had to toss the last bag because it was not salvageable.
