Works well to combat a green algae problem when used in conjunction with large doses of chlorine- just follow the instructions and be prepared to brush and backwash as needed. Keep brushing, keep backwashing. You did order some extra DE, right? Hey, it happens to the best of us. The best way to use this product, however, is to add a little each week, following instructions, as a preventative, pro-active defense to getting algae in the first place. I wont start adding this product to my pool until the summer becomes really hot and humid, which for me in South Jersey is usually the first week of July-give or take. Remember that algae doesn't like to grow in a pool that is properly balanced: Total alkalinity in range, pH in correct range, Cyanuric acid\stabilizer in range, and of course chlorine or salt for your converter, as the case may be. This is my go to for algae protection. During the last long hot summers, algae is a weekly recurrence. There are good descriptions provided on the bottle for treatment. For example, for maintenance, the dose is different than for fighting an outbreak. I recommend also purchasing some PH test strips. Overall PH balance is another important factor in algae growth.

Very effective product. This algaecide works very on pools that are not too green if used early on. It will clear up a pool in a 2-3 day period.

If you have an inground pool opening for the season, this is a diluted product so it doesn't stretch but the good news is it works and works well. Price, brand

I mistakenly thought this was 2 bottles. It is only 1 bottle. Works but not that well.

After three days and don't kill the algae so is not as strong as the clorox shock, I won't buy again.
