Clorox Pool&Spa My Pool Care Assistant Test Strips, 25 Count

I use these regularly in our 15,000 gallon above ground pool without issues. I don't even need an app to read it. Why an app anyway? I don't know. Who cares. They read for everything, but in research I have found that the most important thing to measure are Free Chlorine, Ph and Alkalinity. I highly recommend these. They're easy to store and use. Dip in pool at least 18 inches deep. Remove from pool. Shake once and then match to the scale on the bottle.

This is my third year using these strips and i absolutely love them. My pool has been crystal clear all summer. I use the app and it tells you what you need to do if anything to correct your pool problems before they get out of hand.

My parents have been using this product all summer - but taking strips to store to test at kiosk. This product line has kept their pool beautiful all summer. What finally convinced me to try this was the convenience of the app that would scan my strips. I have had no issue with scanning and the maintenance guidelines have been as easy to follow as the printed ones from my local pool company - with the added bonus of a review with shopping list sent by email or text. And best of all my pool has been beautiful all summer!

Bought thus product last week. The app does not work whatsoever. If you compare its results to the graph on the bottle, its pretty much the exact opposite every time. We went by what it said the first two times, then noticed it kept giving us the same reading....it seriously wanted us to put several bottles full of pH up in our pool, when the color on the test strip indicated it was already a bit high. Dont trust the reviews, its clearly been "influenced" by Clorox themselves. Sad!

Since Walmart stopped selling the Aqua Chem pool products, I bought and tried the Clorox Brands. BIG MISTAKE!! I have owned a pool for over 20 years and never had a problem until using the Clorox. My pool has been messed up this whole entire year. When I took a sample into our pool guy, he said "You get what you pay for" and laughed. The Clorox has neutralizers in it that mess up the entire balance of your pool. All of my friends and myself had the same problems this year. We will never go back to the Clorox and have instead opted to buy our Aqua Chem products through Amazon. Since going back to Aqua Chem, my pool is back to its original beauty. Thank you Aqua Chem!

I used to get the regular strips and read off the bottle - that seems accurate and correct. The app readings seem to be consistently off from my eye reading and following the app has brought me problems - cloudiness, and algae - the strips are OK, the smart strips, not so much...

These DO NOT WORK! The test kept requiring more and more chemicals. After $200 in chemicals and no change with my test results the local pool store test showed i was so far out of balance I had to drain and refill my pool...ph and stabilizer were actually completely opposite of what the clorox strips show.

Our pool had been a mess since using this product. Started out saying there was no chlorine and that the ph was high and total alkalinity was extremely high. We bought the Clorox brand products as recommended and applied the amounts the app told us to use. The next day the pH was way low, total alkalinity was still high but not as high as it had been and still no chlorine after shocking and adding stabilizer. Again, we did exactly what the app told us to do and it still was not right.....I'm done....going back to the pool store. It sure would have been nice if these had worked. My grandsons birthday party is in 3 days and I am not taking a chance on my pool not being ready for it.

Purchased these test strips and downloaded the clorox pool app for iphone 6s. Scan test results are neither repeatable nor reproducible. One day the stabilizer reading was 50. The next day it was zero. Repeated test again, still zero. Tests at two pool places read 50. Stabilizer does not go away. Added recommended ph up. Reading was still low at 6.8. Repeated the test on a second strip it read high at 7.8. Even trying to read results manually was difficult. Color differences so slight it is difficult to know where you are at.

Tried to get my spa in line using these strips. The pH kept rising despite numerous attempts to lower alkalinity. Finally gave up and bought a Taylor K-2006. Best thing I did. The strips indicated that TA was between 80-120. Not even close. The K-2006 gave a TA of 150. With a reliable test I was easily able to drop TA to 70 and pH has remained at 7.6 since. I use the bleach method for sanitation (thanks troublefreepool) and the CYA of the tub is at 30 ppm. I keep FC around 5 and was hoping that the strips would at least be worth a decent chlorine reading. Nope. Doesn't even register chlorine as being present. A 7.6 pH also reads as 6.8 on the strips. Bottom line. Stop wasting money and a lot of time like I did. Spend 70 dollars for a Taylor off of amazon and visit troublefreepool. Take control of your pool or spa and stop burning money on “designed for pool and spa” chemicals. Not much you can't fix with baking soda, borax, bleach and a jug of muriatic acid.
