There are cheaper options!!
Nothing especial other than the brand and little cups included. After check the prices of similar candles in store it became clear that these are a bit too expensive for what you get. Candles are less than 6 inches long.

quality excellent -- but no one in the store could find individual candle holders for me to place one here another there...

LEDs are vastly superior
I would never recommend candles for light. Maybe for a little heat, where needed, but never for light. Besides being dangerous, and running the risk of burning your house down, they are completely outclassed by LEDs, which have become cheaper, brighter, and far longer lasting. These candles should give off about 10 lumens for a few hours, meanwhile the $5 Rayovac 10-LED 6V Floating Lantern Walmart sells will emit 85 lumens, and run for 45 hours on a single $2 6V lantern battery. They're antiquated and inefficient. There's almost no reason to ever buy candles, anymore.
