I keep one of these kits in every tent pack. The ferrules are the answer to a broken pole! Duct it into place, or crimp it with a pliers. I have seen it used successfully at least 4 times. Saved the day!

You could probably get the parts separately but this package makes it nice and easy and convenient to throw in with your camping gear. Great for easy patches on the go and to fix up tent poles. Basic sewing skills required.

It is always good to be prepared and this kit would certainly help you if you find yourself in a bit of a jam. I would consider this a good fix kit for out in the field, it has everything you need to deal with small tears or leaky seams, without being too large and cumbersome or heavy. I would say though that I would not recommend it for longer use fixes, it is more suited to emergency repairs.

The resealable clear bag is perfect as it takes up no space and keeps everything dry and organized together. It comes with handy instructions so you know how to use the supplies. Would recommend to anyone who tent camps as it's always good to have this on hand.

I would have rated it higher if it came in a sinch sac instead of a cardboard box

The photo and description show that it contains a 1/2 ounce tube of Seam Seal. However the product in the store, with the same 0205 item number, does not contain seam seal. Without the tube of Seam Seal, this kit is not much use.
