I had bought one of these several years ago as a "just in case" sleeping solution for a particularly crowded Christmas. My sons loved it. At present, I am moving to a larger condo and anticipate another Christmas guest overflow. Therefore I bought several. These air mattresses are comfortable. They are fun - set them up anywhere. Can be used as camping mattresses (put pads underneath to avoid puncture). Great for sleepovers. For my purposes, much preferable to having to rush to furnish a new condo right away in order to accommodate guests.
Pro: Takes 20 deep breaths to get it half full and comfortable. Narrow enough to fit into a regular sleeping bag. Con: Easy to poke a hole in. If used long enough, the baffles will start to come apart, turning it into a BIG air pillow. Recommendation: Buy a cheap sleeping bag, sew the opening of the bag to keep the air mattress in the sleeping bag, but leave the corner where the air plug is on open so you can inflate it. That way it will be impervious to small holes, ie cat claws, sharp twigs, etc. Have owned NUMEROUS coleman lite slims through the past 3 years for use on my bed to help with back and hip issues this way. After a half a year or year the baffles start to give out. But I weigh about 270lbs, so that's pretty good. Cheaper than a memory foam mattress (300-800 bucks) and better!
I travel with an inflatable bed because I have back problems. This allows me to use this mattress on a Queen bed comfortably when sleeping with my husband. We both have enough space on the bed to sleep ok. I like that it wraps up into it's own little pouch. I am replacing one in which some of the air pockets popped so there is a big lump in the middle. Definitely worth purchasing again for convenient size.
Very pleased! Have had these for several years! Very comfortable, durable, easy and quick to inflate, deflate, roll up and carry. Used for a number of camping trips as well as indoors too. Honestly more comfortable than my double high queen air mattress!
The Coleman Slim Twin Airbed is so comfortable and easy to inflate. It inflates quickly, even with a hand pump! Its unique surface design makes it much more comfortable than the airbeds and air mattresses with vertical "rolls". It easily deflates and folds or rolls up to a manageable size, and has its own "cover bag" attached. My husband bought me one as a gift. I like it so much I bought him one for his birthday and he loves it! Great for camping or for an overnight guest. I highly recommend this Airbed. Nice job, Coleman! Thank You Walmart for having it available, at a reasonable price!
This was for BSA Sea Base 4 night stay. It worked great for what I needed. It rolled up tight and fit in my dry bag with no problems. May be a little large for packing hikes but I didn't want something small and light. I wanted something durable and comfy.
The Slim Twin is easy to inflate, stays inflated, easy to deflate, and so easy to roll back up into its neat package with tie. As campers, we needed not-to-bulky air mattresses and we can fit 3 across in an 8x8 room of our tent. They're easy to transport, too.
Comfortable for a 230 pounder. We have two of these for side-by-side sleeping in rear cargo area of our Honda Pilot. Fills quickly with battery air pump.Stays inflated. Stores compactly. I had previously purchased less expensive brand and it was shot after one night.
The Coleman QuickBed Lite Slim airbed worked well for two nights of camping. It inflates slowly but works well for a child to sleep on. It is fine for adults as well but may be uncomfortable if you're a side sleeper. I'm 5'8" 140lbs and used it to sleep on my side and my shoulders were hurting the next day. It packs up nicely into a small roll. Its too heavy to take backpacking. You need an air pump to inflate this air mattress. It does not come with an air pump.
It seems the design of this mattress does not match the way l sleep, which is I tend to do a lot of tossing and turning. Unfortunately when I move the mattress tosses me around a little to much for my taste. I've had other mattresses of a tube type construction that seem more stable and don't pitch me about as much. Other than that if l'm just staying still it is more than comfortable enough for my needs. I might get use to it, who knows.
