No overflow of coffee because the cover or lid has a small steam release hole next to the glass knob. I only put 11 cups of cold water for perculating . After cooling and removel of the basket, I then added more water to the 12 cup line. This gives me 6-7 oz coffee for 12-8 days daily with my microwave. My hazelnut choice doesn't match my wife's. Cleaning the Coletti 12 cup pot every 12-6 days beats a electrical perculator. this

Fantastic product, reminds me of my childhood

RobN February 1, 2026

I missed the flavor of percolator coffee. First I bought an electric perk, but not what I was hoping for. So I got this %26 voila this was it. Great tasting coffee, a great quality pot %26 from a veteran owned company. I'm in love with this thing.

Grandma was right

Andrew February 28, 2026

I wanted steel and a glass knob and no plastic coming into contact with my coffee. Tastes great, a little better than a French press.

Item shipped a little slow but it was packaged very well and the price was fair. Makes a great pot of coffee.

Bought this for a recent camping trip to the Oregon coast Made making coffee in the morning fun, watching it perk, enjoying good coffee with friends. Very nice.

The best one available; just needs to be thicker.

James March 24, 2026

I wanted to be able to give this a 5 star, and I will recommend this percolator at the top of all modern gas/electric stovetop and camping percolators, but this one, like every modern percolator that can go on a stovetop, is made with too thin materials. Older ones were made with a thicker wall allowing them to retain heat a little longer. I had to return the 14 cup Bozeman camp percolator because it had the raised bottom, had no measurements on the pot, did not allow the lid to sit properly, and took al.ost an hour, and this is at all flame settings, but I decided to give Bozeman another chance. While I have tried to get this one to percolate 12 cups in less than 20 minutes on all flame settings, it just doesn't happen. It takes about 12-15 minutes to start percolating. After that, if you want coffee strng enough, it needs at least ten minutes continued percolating at that heat level. I do like the 10 filters thrown in, but I wish they were made to cover the whole interior of the ground cup, since Bozeman ground cups have holes on the sides, as well. I did buy another 100 of the largest filters with the first pot, because the specific size will fit most any percolator and can be easily trimmed down if necessary. I do like the tenpered glass bulb and the heat and flame resistant wooden grips on the handle. They perform their job well. Now, I buy all sorts of bagged coffee and bean coffee. If you can, get bean and grind it to a slightly bigger ground than normal bag coffee. If not, bag coffee is fine. You just have to let the grounds settle a little before you pour. That is with any percolator, filter or not. My wife is still working on getting a strong enough batch, but I was able to achieve this on the first attempt. It is relatively easy to clean and takes up little space. Many people have aluminum percolators because the aluminum transfers the heat better and allows the coffee to percolate quicker, but I do not want to chance too much aluminum into my diet, so stainless steel will always be my preference. I use this promarily on a gas stove, but I have tried it on an electric eye close to the size of the bottom, and it sits flat and does not warp, so it heats up just as quickly and percolates just the same or maybe a little quicker. Even though it does not have a hanger like the 14 and 24 cup camp percolators, I will take it with me camping and use it on a camp grate or improvised stove top. I wouldn't have used the hanger anyways. No one makes a hanger to be able to put a percolator in the right height to get a camp percolator to work properly. Another thing that is nice, is that if you were to drop and break or lose the glass bulb, you can always replace it. I do not know how or if it works, but Bozeman has a lifetime warranty on theor percolators. Recap, this would be a 5 if it had thicker walls and someone figured out how to get it to percolate quicker without burning anything down.

Good Product with MUCH Need for Improvements

jb April 6, 2026

My recommendation comes with reservation. The percolator came with rough edges, one which I discovered while cleaning it. I cut my thumb and it took several months to heal — and left a visible scar. The manufacturer was completely unresponsive to my inquiries when I attempted to reach them directly on why the price was significantly less through Walmart vs. directly through their own online store.

Good quality purchase

Andrew January 25, 2026

It's good quality, and I like the glass cap where others use plastic. Then again, I have a competitor pot I bought late 1980s, and still have its original plastic cap, and there's nothing wrong with it. But, the glass shows commitment to reduce microplastics, and it has a more elegant flair. The handle is problematic. First, it's spot welded onto the pot in three spot welds shaped of an inverted triangle, and the welded area is just at the rounded part of the top of the pot. It appears to me that either the bottom spot weld or the two top spot welds will come undone with repeated heat and cool cycles over time. No issue with the triangle of spot welds on the bottom of the handle. Comparing the size of the welds between the Coletti and its competitor, the competitor's weld spots are huge, and deeper - and horizontal, meaning, all 3 attach to the pot equally. And as to the handle, the metal part is sandwiched with... rosewood? Uhm... I doubt it. It's unfinished, and the wood is attached on both sides of the handle with steel rivets. When handling the pot, you will burn your hands with the rivets, and also with the metal sides sandwiched between the wood. One reviewer said that the pot top is flimsy and prone to coming off. I disagree that it's prone to coming off; however, it is flimsy - but stronger than my competitor pot: the rivet in the hinge holding the pot top on mine has rivet heads on each side of the hinge. My competitor pot has a rivet head on one side of the hinge with a flimsy flange on the other side. Having used the pot daily for 30 years has not yielded a problem, but the double rivet heads shows attention to detail that makes it look much better. This pot can easily be used on a campfire or stove top. It is 12 cups, which makes it unsuitable for single-leg camp stoves, unless you're real careful. As to the manufacturer's description that " Not only will these prevent the coffee ground from falling through, but they also lower cholesterol by reducing the amount of oil that gets into the coffee". I will say that this description is absolutely false, and reduces the perception of quality. The gauge of steel isn't mentioned in the Walmart product description, but it is mentioned on Coletti's website as 18 gauge and 1mm thick. 18 gauge steel is 1.2 mm thick, and, is slightly thicker for stainless steel. But this is not 1.2 mm thick. At best, it is 1 mm, making it 19 or 20 gauge. Stars taken for cholesterol remark and the handle.

To communicate with the business, you have to join their website. They want $35 a year to join their webside with them assigning you your own special website info. $20 for their filters is too high. The lid is attached to the pot so you can't take it off. A good way to get burned. Also, there is no measuring mark to know where to fill the water. The pot is small for $40. Will I send it back no because it's too much trouble.
