Crane Adorable Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier, 1 Gallon, 500 Sq ft Coverage, 24 Hour Run Time - Penguin

My wife and I bought this because we kept waking up at night to drink water, because the air was so dry. No only did this humidifier solve that problem, but it also stopped my snoring! Didn't expect that, but it makes sense because my throat and sinus cavities were drying out at night and getting inflamed, which caused me to snore. Now, I don't wake up briefly to my wife elbowing me in the ribs or pushing me to turn over so I'll stop snoring (haha). We both sleep through the night. We had heard that humidifiers cause bacteria to grow and make things worse, but those were the old kind with warm mist. This is a cool mist that doesn't cause that problem. ALSO, it is so easy to fill the water container and it doesn't drip when you place it on the base. This is easily one of the best purchases that we have ever made. Besides...it's a PENGUIN! How cute is that?

So far so good! this is cute and does the job in my bedroom. My plants and I are all happy with it. It fills a little funny but not a problem if I bring it to my kitchen sink and put the little tank upside down in the dish drainer.

Purchased to help keep the humidity higher in the winter so I wouldn't cough due to low humidity. Definitely helps solve that problem.

I moved to a drier climate and my sinuses have been suffering ever since. I bought this penguin for my first apartment and named him Jake. I feel much more hydrated when I wake up and my girlfriend snores less now. We love Jake.

Very quiet - even on highest setting. Humidity feels like its working. First cool mist humidifier - usually by hot mist. Would like the mist to blow up higher - though floor not wet. Pleased so far.

Seems to provide the necessary humidity in bedroom. Some people may be bothered by the gurgling sound it makes, but not everyone. Somewhat difficult to hold when filling tank because of round shape. Requires some strength to hold under faucet.

I like this humidifier. I use a Brita filter to avoid white dust. The only thing, is that it does not put out two gallons per day, even on high. More like one gallon. I have two units and both are the same. It is quiet except for the slight gurgle or bubble noises, which I can handle. Cleaning is easy. The penguin is a fun choice. I have it in my bedroom.

We had the original of this model from over a decade ago which I accidentally dropped and broke. I repurchased it and they have cheapened it up big time. The upper portion no longer fits on the original lower base (which I still have.) The plastic is significantly thinner and more flimsy, most notably on the bottom of the water unit. The amount of humidity produced is at least 10% less than the original. I had to back it off sometimes on the original depending on humidity, but the new version is on full blast all the time. It is sufficient, but not as good as its predecessor. It is a decent unit and I do recommend it, but comparing to the original, they are night and day different in quality.

This is the 3rd penguin that we purchased. There's no issue with the first 2 penguins for almost 10 years, but this last one we bought leaked on the front after 1 hour of continuous use. Surely this is a one-off product dysfunction? Anyone else has this problem? Not sure what to do. Very disappointed.
