Homedics Demineralization Cartridges for Ultrasonic Humidifiers, 4-Pack Replacement, Reduces Hard Water Build-Up, White Dust, UHE-HDC4

These cartridges purify the water that gets evaporated so that there is no deposit of calcium or mineral residues, i mostly use reverse osmosis water (cleared of most stuff) to fill my humidifier and occasionally refill with tap water, in this usage pattern i only needed 1 per year- i have not seen any residue or build up in my humidifier

I have very hard water in my building. Using a filtered shower head in combination with demineralization filters allowed me to get al little over month before cleaning light came on. This was during December and January with baseboard heat. It was running at 4-5 most of the time!

It is a large capacity,which is good,as it doesn't run so fast out of water,and has all kinds of settings, and oil diffuser tray and quiet,but...the initial demineralization cartridge didn't sink,although i kept it 20 minutes, not 10 as the site recommends, so i have to buy new ones.And on a side note,one cartridge is not enough, as you need 2-3.Also,because it doesn't have filter,which is good as you save some money,the water comes out with all the bad stuff in it,so after 30 or so, fillings I started having mold allergy,and when i took it apart,the chamber was grey,instead of white,which was too fast,in my opinion to get the mold.I cleaned it with vinegar and I'm good now.All being said the room went from 16 humidity to around 40,and i feel much comfortable now.It is a good humidifier overall,that's why I gave 5 stars.It only needs more attention.

These really do cut down on the white dust you usually get from a mist humidifier. The product description doesn't make it clear, but there are four cartridges to a package.

Not sure if these are working. I followed the directions and I am still getting white residue in my home. Could it be a bad batch from the supplier??

Used it for one season and it seemed to do a reasonable job for the purpose we used it for. Very difficult to purchase replacement cartridges. Always out of stock when I attempted to purchase replacements cartridges. Very frustrated with your out of stock position. There was no confirmation of my purchase by e-mail as was stated would happen. I almost abandoned the product because of poor support from the company.

I purchased these to use in the ultrasonic vaporizer. After a few weeks of use, I honestly can't tell if they are effective or not. I did not notice any water spot deposits. It would be helpful if there was information about when to replace and how to determine when they are needed. I will continue to use just to ensure the machine remains clean. Because this is in contact with the water, it would be helpful to know the contents.

I will not purchase this machine again. With or without the filter the machine coats everything in my bedroom with white film. My glasses, mirrors computer everything!
