Creativity for Kids Crystal Space Terrarium – Child and Beginner Craft Kit for Boys and Girls (Ages 6+)

The crystal growing was easy to do ( just make sure you get the water hot enough before you put the rock in) and they can decorate it while they grow. I'd definitely purchase more of these it's a great activity for us to do as a family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always love having an opportunity to do a fun creative activity with my son! I love watching his little mind go to work, and his creativity come to light. As parents, we are used to taking the lead and using every opportunity to teach, but it's absolutely heart warming to just sit back, and let your child take the reins. So when TryIt Sampling sent me the Crystal Space Terrarium from Faber-Castell in exchange for my honest thoughts, I was really excited to do just that and spend some quality time with my son and do a little creative experiment. This Crystal Terrarium really brings out your child's individuality because it allows them to design the Terrarium in their own unique way. The directions are very simple to read and understand, there are 4 steps that come with written and illustrated directions to complete your crystal growing process. There are parts of the 4 steps where a parent is needed because it consists of using the microwave and having very hot liquid. Once you reach the 4th step, it's required to let your crystals grow undisturbed for 24 hrs. During that process though, the terrarium needs to be decorated with the included gem stickers, glow in the dark stickers, a glow in the dark alien, regular stickers, glow rocks, and space gravel. Your child is able to decorate their very own Space Terrarium that actually glows!!! After the 24 hr. waiting period, my son was in complete awe of the beautiful crystals he grew! He was so proud of himself! ( my son is 8 by the way) I was so proud to see his hard work, individuality, and dedication. It was more than just that though, for me, it was great to be able to slow down and to really be in the moment with my son. We are constantly on the go, and it really felt good to just have that special time with my son and to have a peek into who he is becoming!!!

I bought this for my Grandson....I had some similar items, for granddaughters, but was unsure what he may like, then I found this! It is a project, has a lid for safety, and also lights up! His Mom says he will love it! I

My grandson loved this activity. It required some help from his Mom but he managed to follow the instruction and it turned out really nice.

Awesome fun experience to do during a rainy day. Great for learning and fun and they can keep it for a while in their rooms to admire.

Bought for my child.. she really enjoyed it! super cute!!
