Requires very little counter space, I again am able to open cans. The old hand operated can openers, even the nice ones were non functional for my hands. The Cuisinart electric can open is so sassy to operate and clean, wish I was able to get one sooner.
I love the cuisinart electric can opener. It works so smoothly! It has two guides that make it easy to position the can. You press down and the opener does its magic, hands free. So glad I replaced my old can opener that stopped and started and was hard to position the can just right with this easy to use, smooth Cuisinart Electric-can opener.
I did a reasonable amount of research on which can opener would stand up and is easy to use. I chose this one from positive reviews. I can tell you that it's the best choice I made. Easy to use, easy to clean. I'm 70 years old and have arthritis. This can opener easy for me to operate!!
I bought this electric can opener for my 90 year old father so he can continue to be independent. He was having a little trouble opening food cans because of his arthritis. This inexpensive and easy to operate electric can opener has made a lot of difference in his ability to remain out of an assisted living facility.
Over the years I have developed arthritis in my wrist and thumb which doesn't allow me to hold a manual can opener. When I ordered your product it was amazingly easy to open the can and absolutely no pain in my arthritic wrist. I absolutely love it!
This is a very nice can opener because it is quiet and easy to use. Just position a can against the guide, lightly press on the lever, the can opener does the rest automatically. It will hold the can in place and open the can without you having to hold the lever down.
In the past 3 years this is the 4th can opener I bought, but it the only one that opens cans without a hassle.Tried one of those ones you put on top of the can, but it never worked the way it was advertised. Then I bought a Hamilton Beach and it couldn't do the job right either. So I got a POHL SCHMITT, but it would never hold the cans. It would take 3 to 6 times of start again to open a can, and heaven forbid it was a larger can. But this Cuisinart has not given me one issue as of this review.
Bought this can opener after comparing many others. This one replaced an old model of another name that quit mid-opening of a can. This one operates hands free once engaged, and stops when opening is complete and captures the lid. Can't go wrong, slim in size, attractive in black, and a detachable opener part. Very easy to clean and put that part back in. No complaints. Don't hesitate to buy, affordable.
I am so glad I purchased this electric can opener. I previously had a hand crank type but my wrists were becoming so sore I could not open cans with it. I like this one since I can take the cutting unit off and rinse it after each use. I highly recommend this can opener.
After a series of manual can openers that would stop gripping the can's lip, I decided that it's time for something more consistent and durable. The one feature that this automatic can opener has - the lever removal for cleaning- also happens to be its biggest flaw. Opening the lever so you can place the can is where this problem occurs. Open too much, and the level falls out. If you try to open “just enough”, the can may or may not fit. I admit that this is nit-picking a little, but it's a real issue. But beyond that, this can opener works as designed. Once it starts, it opens the can and stops on its own. Infinitely better than struggling with a manual opener that won't even turn because it can grip the can lip.
