I don't remember how many ounces are in this bottle, but it is very heavy and certainly the largest bottle of balsamic I've ever been able to get for the lowest price. The taste is delicious. I hope Walmart continues to carry it because I would go back to it again and again and again I highly recommend this balsamic vinegar.
I can't compare this to other Balsamic Vinegars. When I decide to try using some for various things, this was the best value for what seemed like a reliable source. I was not disappoint and never looked back. This is the only balsamic vinegar I have ever needed. I love the flavor. I love that it is still a 5% acid, so it can be used anywhere normal vinegar is used. There is only one negative I can think to say and it is likely a sign of quality. It has small, hard chunks (sediment) found in any quality balsamic vinegar. It is a natural, harmless substance known as the "mother of vinegar" and I just add it in to whatever I am using the vinegar. It does come into play when at the start of the bottle. However, towards the end of the bottle, it can make pouring less smooth.
I love this balsamic vinegar! I make my own salad dressing by mixing this vinegar 50/50 with olive oil, and adding basil and garlic. The vinegar gives the salad dressing a slightly sweet, delicious flavor. So far, the price of this vinegar has remained reasonable.
I think it's a good value for the money but I get somewhat frustrated by the nozzle at the opening. It does reduce nicely when I'm making a balsamic glaze
This balsamic vinegar is always the one I buy. It is a great value for the money, has a great taste and my family loves it! An added plus is that it is also gluten free.
I like balsamic vinegar to add just a little punch to a grilled cheese sandwich or on a sub. Just a splash is perfect to add that tang to the bread. This brand has a nice flavor.
I use a lot of Balsamic vinegar, so I like that this vinegar comes in a larger quantity for less money. It has a great flavor for a terrific value. I recommend you try this.
the only reason i knocked off a point was the top. i love the pour but the lid itself was so hard to get off. couldn't screw it off. had to disfigured it. it's aluminum. saved part of it to put on top. but the product is tasty. love!! notice i would recommend.
This vinegar contains CARMEL COLOR. It doesn't state the class but due to potential health concerns of Carmel color I will be looking for another vinegar without this. According to google… “ The main health concern associated with caramel coloring, particularly Class III and IV caramel color, is the potential presence of 4-methylimidazole (4-MEI), a chemical classified as a possible human carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). 4-MEI is a byproduct of the manufacturing process, specifically when ammonium compounds are used”
For the price, this is the best Balsamic Vinegar I have found. But buying Balsamic Vinegar is a bit like buying wine: one can spend as much as he wants to spend. I have had Balsamic Vinegars costing $80 or more dollars for an 8 oz bottle, but few of us can afford that except for a very special occasion. For an inexpensive Balsamic , De Nigris is the best I've found,. Tom Jackson
