Very easy to install and setup! Used a 1” concrete drill bit to drill through brick, pulled wires through no problem. Two sets of wires will go through the 1” hole. Hardest part of the job is fishing the wires through the walls/ceiling. Buy a fish tape. Connection to DVR was simple with color coded connections on back. Connected cable to HDMI 2 on tv and labelled it PC, use tv menu and it's right beside Netflix. Don't use any IP or PTZ camera settings in PVR menu! Don't go crazy adjusting menu settings but keep password strong. Setup Defender 4K APP and adjust cameras with phone right in front of you. On a scale of 1-10 for installation, I'll give it a 8 for average person. For a pro, easy 10. At night time, use the APP to fine tune for night vision so the light lines up where you want to see. Daytime will be perfect after that. Simple

Came faster than expected. Unit seems solid and easy to setup. Have not yet been able to do a complete install of all cameras but what I have been able to get completed they are working well and great image. A good deal of settings to work through to tweak them as you wish. I have mine connected to my 55 inch tv in our living room and used a wireless mouse instead of the wired one sent. Works great! Choose the wired cameras as I have the space to hard wire them without the wires being exposed. This gave me the 2T hard drive as well as power and a better image so shouldn't have any issues with overwriting something that I may have wanted to keep. Still playing with the system but like it so far.

Recently purchased this system, its it is very good for the price, image quality is just enough for surveillance of your home. Defender maybe though can look into offering some compatible LPR technology in the near future to be able to see/ provide lisence plates to authorities during a hit and run or something.. thank you guys!!

Video pictures are good and sharp but the high pitched ringing that's produced by the unit is unbearable and the video connections are extremely Close together a tool is needed for locking in place

For the price, decent picture and after a couple of hours of adjusting the settings and connecting the app, things seem to be fine so far. Better image than my old 720p cameras from 2015 from Samsung, but only gave 4 starts because the old cameras had a metal base / metal pivot socket / metal adjusting ring, while these cameras are all plastic and quite lightweight by comparison, but that does not mean they will not last as long or stand up to inclement weather - here's hoping. . .

GREAT system. I upgraded from the older 1080 I bought about 5 or more years ago. The older cameras were metal where these are plastic. The picture is INCREDIBLE! The night vision on the older cameras was better. Set up was great. Still need to hook to the internet and that will be all. Over all, great system!

Camera system is a very good system. The only issue I personally have is the DVR fan is a little loud for me. My old system was in my living room so I did not want to move all the wires for my new Defender system. The app could be a little better. I have to open twice to get the cameras to refresh.

I installed Defender CCTV DVR in many place of my friends and families. It's great results but in video I found one issue like movement vision is not good steady results are good. Example a person or car movement stretched not like Poe or nvr. Only this issue should be solved. Thanking you
