I was told that beets bring your blood pressure down so I tried the Del Monte pickled beets. They were so good tasting. I shall keep buying them because they are a healthy food item and the taste is very pleasant , I will continue in purchase them in the future.
Go for the glass when it comes to anything pickled. I am use to the can, but switched to these. Far more tastier and fresh! Am working on a Japanese diet plan which suggests something fermented plus something pickled for gut health. I don't care for pickles, but these are sweet with a little tang. I will try to introduce these to my daughters -- who swears she hates beets. I think she would love these....I'll try to update this message after I coax her to try these!
My grandma and mom ate these when i was young and i never liked them, maybe it was the texture. As an adult im trying to eat healthier and i read how healthy beets are so i decided to try them and was surprised that they are actually pretty good. The texture is good not mushy, just the right amount of vinegar, not too sweet and i feel good about eating them. I eat them as a side with my burger or fried chicken or sandwichs. Good price for a healthy product
I love these pickled red beets. I put them, with most of the "juice", in a bowl with some minced garlic and/or a little garlic powder; and some olive oil. I stir it up a bit to get the garlic and oil well mixed-in and put them in the fridge for a day or two -- re-mixing a few times if you can, for the flavors to mix well. You can put a slice or 2 in the same mouthful of your roasted chicken or meat main dish; or, just a little bite of bread. It beats eating beets jarred with just water!!!
This bottle is just the right siZe. Regretfullly I am the only one in family that likes beets so right size . Or I say i'm glad no one likes these beets so have a good thing too going on here. I tried 3 versions obtainable.. and these hold their crispness best. Plus i find beats sliced better that the chunks. I buy them in sets of 10 so won't run out just store a number in refrig to get cold. And have a grandson pop over a couple at a time. Plus they are clear glass so storing my different snaps and buttons are handy
These pickled beet slices are tasty. Some processed beets get flavored by adding cinnamon. These beets taste cinnamon free, which makes them very good!
These pickled beets are a delicious, fresh and crisp addition to green salads. I find the glass jar convenient for storing the beets in the fridge between servings.
The other brands, including the boutique brands, all have high fructose cornstarch in them. This jar of beets is the best value for the money and is also the best tasting.
HAVING TO BE SELECTIVE WITH THE SAFETY AND QUALITY OF THE FOOD WE CONSUME EACH DAY. THIS SELECTION FROM DEL MONTE - NON-GMO IS MY DAILY DELIGHT WITH DINNER. GREAT VALUE - GREAT TASTE MICHAEL - RAPID CITY SOUTH DAKOTA
Product is dusty on lids- you can write your name on them. Product is located in store on high shelving possibly, inventory needs to be dusted off before bagging for delivery!!
